It was great...I had been asking my mom to get my navel pierced since I was 11 years old!She kept saying NO so i got my sister interested in it to.You see my sister gets anything she wants so I got her involved :)!So finally she decided to bring it up to my mom and my mom of course said YES to her so i said thats not fair and then she told me that i could get it done!
At A Glance Author Andrea Contact stotachick2@aol.com Artist ~*DYCE*~ Studio SkinFunk Location Brewerton Rd in Cicero Febuary 16 2001 came along and we called SkinFunk up to see the cost and the hours they were open!It was 50$ but believe me it was WELL worth it!We drove to Cicero and we finally got to the Studio I was both excited but also nervous...But once we walked in it seemed very clean alot cleaner than i expected!We went up to the front counter where all the rings and barbells were and I choose the regular curved silver barbell.I wanted that because I didnt want to irritate it with anything to fancy.At SkinFunkl they have these 2 humongous daogs running around and the dogs have little dice barbells going through their ears!By the way if you live in Central Ny i definatly recommend SkinFunk to you beacuse all of my friends have gone there and none of our bb's have gotten infected!
About 5 minutes later "Dyce" took us back into the room(Me my sister and her friend)Thats another reason why we choose that studio because you are allowed to have people back there to hold ur hand!Anyways we went back there and I went first and he laid me down on this white chair that looked kind of like a dentist chair I would say.
Then he cleaned my stomach with some subtance I dunno what it is called.2nd he put the 2 little dots on my tummy.3rd he put the clamps on the 2 holes.Now I wouldnt say the clamps really hurt but they were soo cold that when the piercer puts them on it will prolly scare you!4th he put a cork above the top hole that he had marked.5th he stuck the needle through real quickly until it hit the cork.It didnt hurt to bad but i turned my head becuase it couldnt watch beacuse it would prolly make me real sick.6th he took the needle out after a quick minute and stuck the barbell through.I would say that when he did that it hurt the most.And Last he put some really shiny cleanin stuff on it and the i jumped up and looked in the mirror!I loved it!It looked FANTASTIC!!Then I ran out and showed my stepdad he said it looked cute!Right afterwards I had to go back to the school and watch a basketball game and all my friends were there!I told all my friends in school that I was getting it done that night but they were like Ya right she wont go through with it so when i showed them i felt so proud that I actually went through with it.
I've had my bb done a lil over 2 months now and it healed great.I can change my ring and now I have a dice in it.Alls I used to help keep it clean is Dial soap...Neosporin...and Bactine.By the way if u are thinking about getting it done but u are worried about the pain dont be it is so simple...I mean i am like a "wimp" and it didnt even make me say "ouch"On a scale from 1-10 i would rate the pain maybe a 2 at the most~!
Now I really can't wait until this summer when i go down to Florida when I can be in my bikini and have all the guys turning their head my way... ;)Also in December I am going on a cruise in the Carribean and I will have it done!I think that most girls should have there bb pierced because it is soo cute!And it doesnt hurt a bit!

Also if I had to give you advice on what type of jewerly to get...I think you should definatly choose a CURVED barbell because if you choose a staright one that when you go to put a ring in it will hurt a lot more!My friend knows from experience.I have a 14 gage in my stomach and if u want something cute on ur bb i would say choose something small so it doesnt irritate it.And if u are in sports like me(i ould say just get a regualar sergical steel curved barbell.
