I had been wanting my belly button pierced for sometime and i asked my mom if i could get it done thinking that she would say NO!!! So I decided to ask her anyways, I was shocked to hear that she said YES! I told her thats what i wanted for my birthday. Well my birthday came and my Mom said "Do you want to go get it done?" i said NO.....I chicken out!
At A Glance Author sweetpops34 Artist Mike Studio Skinsations Location Ark City About a 5 weeks ago I came home from school and my Mom asked me if I wanted it done again.....I said yes! by this time I had thought about it for a long time, and she said well i will call and make an appt. So she did, for saturday.
I had a week to think about it...i kept getting really nervous and i had asked a few friends that had it done if it hurt....they said not really! i was like ok! so i decided that i was just going to go do it, cause i had told people that i was going to do it and i didnt want them to think that i was a chicken.
For about a week i spent nights on BME looking at all the stories about people getting theres done and pretty much all of them said that it didnt hurt. So i was like ok well all these guys say that it doesnt hurt so it cant be to bad.
Well it was finally saturday!!! and we were in our way to Ark City! I wasnt too nervous while we were in the car, but we had pulled up and I had told my mom that i thought that it would be better if I went and ate first, because i read that if you have an empty stomach that you might pass out. so we went and ate and we were done eating and i was just sitting there thinking about how much this was going to hurt! and i was shaking and my teeth were chattering. i was seriously thinking about not doing it.
My Mom told me that theres nothing to worry about! so i calmed down. My aunt Jaden was also going to get hers done too! so i told here that i wanted to watch her get hers pierced first. so we got to Skinsations...a totally clean place! I expected it to be kinda dark and wierd in there, but it was well lighted and stuff. I waited for my Mom and my 2 Aunts to get there tatoos, so that my aunt Jaden could go first.
Well I had watched her get hers done and she didnt even flinch! she said it wasnt even like getting a shot. She told me that i came to do this so get my but in the chair.
Here goes nothing!!! so Mike got out all of the stuff to do it.i watched him get out the clamp and the starlized needle and he put some alcohol on my stomach and the put the clamp on. i had heard that that was the worst part of the whole thing. i didnt think that it hurt at all though. the he told me to take a deep breath and when i was breathing out on the count of three that he would pierce me. I watched the whole thing. It was all over in a matter of 3 seconds. i kept asking "IS THAT ALL?" they were like yeah your done!
So after that we left and i came home and i showed all of my friends!!! they were so supprised that i had went through with it!!! i was too to tell you the truth! i was sooo proud of my self! I never thought that i would do it!
I cant wait till summer when i can really show it off!!! and it looks so much better with a tan anyways!
I clean it with Dial Anitbacterial Soap three times a day! i also soak it in salt water, and keep bactine on it so that it doesnt get an infection in it! (that would not be good at all)!
The first few weeks try not to wear anything that rubs against it so that it doesnt get irritated! dont let anyone touch it that has dirty hands that will cause an infection also.
Mine didnt get very sore but one day i was playing basketball and we were all going for the ball and it hit me in the stomach it hurt like a bitch! so be really carefull if you have to have any contact with it!
And dont chicken out like i did the first time! cause it would have been all healed up by now!!!
All i have to say is to JUST DO IT!!! and if you dont like it you can always take it out! and your belly button will look soooooo cute!!!!
