Well, first of all...my mother does not believe in body mods and being comfortable with yourself through modification of your given body. The only option I was allowed to get was a belly button piercing, or navel piercing. And I JUMPED at the chance to stab some metal through any part of my skin.

I first found BME a couple of years ago, well searching for tattoo information. I fell instantly in love with everything about it. But of course I didn't have pictures of piercings or a tattoo for a membership. All until now....

The day that my mum finally gave in to let me pierce something, I had decided (and begged) for months that I wanted my button pierced on the bottom. I thought it looked soooooo cool and also not that common. Well, compared to the other navel piercings! When I finally found a respectable, clean looking piercing studio, and saved up the money, I went to go and get it done. I wasn't even nervous!

When I got to the studio I noticed right away how clean and cool it was. I was expecting this big biker gang hang out....and was a lil freaked out. But it wasn't like that in any way. I met the piercer, Gary, and told him what I wanted. He said that he could do it right now so I went into the back of the studio, and sat down on the lil medical bed thing.

Gary, prepped me for what was coming next, and he told me how to care and clean for my new piercing. He mentioned that I wouldn't remember any of this after wards, that's why he told me now. I just laughed off my nervousness off...(ahh!)

I laid down on the bed and lifted my shirt up a lil bit. Gary wiped down my tummy with this orange liquid stuff. I noticed that he also was wearing gloves and everything was in separate plastic packages. He took out the needle; it was hollow with a pointed end. Gary went over breathing instructions with me, and I just laided there with my mum watching, shaking her head! On the count of three he jabbed it in there. I expected this big agonizing pain, (even though everyone on bme said that it didn't hurt) but it didn't hurt in any way!! Putting the ring into the hollow needle was a lil different feeling but it was that bad.

Finally it was done. I was happy because I was the newest member of the needle club! Yippee! I was so proud.

Its healed pretty good, and didn't get infected at all. At first there was some little bits of crustings and pus stuff, but really it got much much much better. It healed and is very nice now. Boys really like it, and so do girls accually. its a very sexual turn on. Even though this sounds really wierd, it feels good when some one sucks on it. But now wear a curved barbell in the hole, instead of the ring. And I am planning on stretching it a lil bit.

I am very addicted to piercings now!! I want to get a labret, septum, both nipples and maybe something else. Hmm...when I turn 18 I guess... too bad its so far, fucking away!

Piercing and tattooing to me is something that is very spiritual and sexy. Its a way to express yourself, and to feel better about your outward appearance. It doesn't hurt, and its well worith it. Anything that will make you feel better about your self is well worth any amount of pain.

I am not one of the people who wants to or has the need to cut of my fingers or genitalia or something. But...I dont think that there is anything wrong with that. I believe that you should do what ever you want to do to make you more comfertable with your body and your personality. i belive that to be happy with your self in the inside you have to be happy with your self on the out side.

you might think that i'm crazy or some thing, but thats just how i feel about things!! thank you very much for reading this!!

1.) Does it hurt?

A. no it doens't. if you can take someone pinching you, then you can take a belly button piercing.

2.) Was it worth it?

A. Yeah, it was for me. I think that its beautiful on the out side and it must be beautiful on the in side too!! I really love it. And its really fun to play with too.

3.) what about when your pregnant?

A. well, you can put larger jewelry in, or you can put fishing line through the hole and tie it in to a circle. this prevents the hole from closing, but also allows room for your tummy to grow :0
