Hey everyone. My name is Michelle I'm 13 years old, will be 14 in novemeber.I live in Delray Beach Florida. I Got my navel pierced in May.(May 24.2000 to be exact)

I first wanted my navel done when I was about 10.I don't know what made me want it, Maybe it was because I saw someone with. I don't remember.Anyways,When I was 11 I tried to do it myself. I think I did it 3 times.Whic all got infected and had to be taken out. My parents are real cool about it so to them it wasn't a big deal. on the third time I had it it was all nasty red and sore and it hurt so much. So before I took it out I made my Mom promise me that she would take me to get it done by a pro. She promised me so I took it out. By this time I was 13.

So About a week later I was walking around and I was like "what the hell I'm going to ask my Mom to take me now, I have nothing to do!"So I walked down to where my Mom was which happened to be in our pool. She said not today and I got all mad and started to cry..lol I know its sad. Well, I then went inside and my dad just got home. He saw that I was all mad and I explained why I was and he was like "lets go right now hurry up real quick" So I was like okay cool.

I saw my friend walking down the street so I told her what was going on and she jumped at the chance to watch me getting a needle stuck threw my belly.=)Anyhoo,On the way up there I was so nervous. I was shaking so bad, I was trying not to think of it but the same question kept running through my mind: WILL IT HURT?

Well, I got there and they guy(danny) asked me what I wanted and I said a navel piercing. He said okay and it would be a few min cuz he had to take all the stuff out and everything. While he did that I was looking at the tattoos. A funny thing was on the way up there my dad wanted to know if I wanted a tattoo instead! I was like no thankyou i don't want one..HaHaHa

About 5 min later he told me that he was ready. I walked back there with my friend hand in hand. And Then he told me to lift up my shirt so he could mark the spot where it was going to be. I gave him the okay so I sat down in the dentist looking chair. I was so scared but i HAD to go through with it anyway cuz I wanted it for such a long ass time. He then told me to relax and to breath. He clean the inside on my perfect little innie belly and put the clamps on. I was watching stiil.Then I saw him take out the big ass needle so of course I closed my eyes and turned away. I was also holding my friends hand too. okay I wasn't holding it I was squeezing the hell out of it.

He then put the needle threw which hurt like a bad bee sting for about a fraction of a second, not that bad. I didn't even feel him put the ring in. He had a hard time getting the ball on the ring because is hand were all slippery from the antibacterial cream he had on his gloves and on my belly. After he finally got the bead only dad paid him the $50.oo and I was on my way. It didn't hurt at all after that only for the first week when I tried to sit down. It wasn't red until the 3rd day but it was only slightly red. I soaked it in bactine and water 3 times a day for the next month. after that i switched to saline solution and hot salt water.All three things worked well and I never got an infection. Now its been about 5 months and I have changed it so a 14 g blue curved silver barbell. Its so pretty!

I plane to get more piercings in the future.I want a lip piercing eyebrow and tongue.I plan to get these real soon.Now i have a job and can pay for them myself.My parents wont mind at all,that are too cool to care!
