I was so happy I CRIED!!!!

Hey people!! Whats up?! =) I've had my navel pierced for about 6 days now.. and I love it! It seemed like it took forever to finally get it done. And I'm so glad I finally did it. I think I really just started wanting one @ the beginning of summer.. I just thought they looked so cool! Britney Spears has one and so does Beyonce from Destiny's Child. But thats not why I got it. =) he he. So it took some time to convince my mom, she wasn't sure WHY I wanted to do it, she kept saying "get a clip on" and stuff, so I did.. but nope, it wasn't the same. And those things don't stay on good. Now we went to this town an hour away that we knew pierced belly buttons, but I was majorly bummin' when they said I had to be 17. I'm like JUST GREAT.. but my mom asked lots of questions about it and she started to feel more comfortable about me doing it. They recommended this other place another hour away, that they can do it to 16 year olds. So I'm like YES WE ARE GOING THERE.

But it took some time. Thats 2 hours away from where we live, we don't go to that town often. This whole experience was just frustrating, it took forever to finally get it done. One time we went in, called the place and WHOOPS had to have a birth certificate. Second time, actually went in the place and I totally chickened out. GAWD I was so upset. I can be such a woos. Third time, went in, but I didn't have my ID.... freakin' a. I was so ready to get it that time, because before that I have been reading stories on here and I was really familiar w/ the whole procedure ya know. So I was so upset. =( Finally, next time we go in, and I knew this was gonna be the time. I was so nervous. But also very excited!!! I knew it was gonna look so great!! I numbed it w/ ice, but I gotta tell ya that was a waste of time..

So anyways, we get to the place and we fill out some papers, blah blah.. I wasn't really nervous then anymore, because everything seemed professional and totally trusted the people.. (he changed his gloves 3 times while getting ready to pierce me) since I've been there twice already. ha ha. So after 10 minutes or so, he was ready for me to go in. My sis went in w/ me cuz my momma gets sick w/ needles and stuff. I do too, but I was being really tough that day!! I decided on a barbell, cuz I think they don't get in the way as much and they heal quicker. I didn't get to pick the color, its just silver, 14 gauge and yeah. Anyways, to get to that good part. The guy took me in this little doctors room and told me to tuck my shirt into my bra, so I did.. and then he cleaned it w/ some white stuff and told me not to touch it. I was weirded out by all the pictures on the wall of freeky people. he he so after that, he marked me, that kinda hurt. he he he. Then he put the clamps on, and in case you are wondering what those are CUZ I NEVER KNEW UNTIL THEN, well they look like scissors, but w/ flat ends w/ holes where the needle goes thru. And there are rubber bands holding the thing together, so it stays tight. He then told me to lay down and by then, my heart was going a million miles per hour. But it was cool. So he told me to breath in thru my nose and out thru my mouth 3 times, and on the 3rd breath he would pierce me. So I did that and I was so scared, but all I felt was this little pinch. It wasn't exactly pain, but I could feel it going thru.. it was strange, but SO bearable. I don't even remember what it felt like, just a needle going thru, but no pain!!! It was so amazing. And then I felt it get to the surface and it felt like it was gonna pop thru, but I never felt that, it did get thru tho. And then he said he was gonna put the jewerly in, and that hurt more than the actually piercing itself. Felt like it was squeezing itself in! But that only took a second. Same w/ the piercing. The whole thing was like, wow that was it?! It's honestly nothing to fret out. After he was done I was in shock!! I couldn't believe I just went thru it so I just layed there. It was bleeding a tiny bit but not enough of run down my tummy or anything. It looked nice, not really red @ all. So I went out and showed my mom, she was proud of me. Then I got in the car and cried. I know, I'm a freek!! Go ahead SAY IT!! =) It was just an emotional thing cuz I'm such a woos about pain and I couldn't believe I did it. There was a hole in my tummy yo!!=) ha ha it was cool. I couldn't stop staring @ it. So the guy gave me special cleaning stuff, and I clean it twice a day. I was cleaning it 3 times a day for a while, until I read thats not too good. But I'm still scared of infection, one time a piece of muffin fell in there and I had to clean it out. ha ha im weird huh. Lately its been kinda itchy and the skin has been tightening around the barbell, but I just clean it and its all better. It's so cool, I love it so much. And so does my boyfriend, even tho sometimes he forgets I have it and BAM.. that can hurt. lol. But its hurting less and less each day. Last night I slept on my tummy for the first time. I often forget its there. It's still kinda tender tho, and has a little redish-purpleish color around the jewelry, but its hiding behind the ball thing. Now my friend wants to get hers done, that would be cool.

Now if you are considering doing it, ask yourself this: if you are scared, what is it you are scared about?!?! THE PAIN?? There is none! =) I mean, I know all people are different, but I also know all people can handle this. And you will feel so good about yourself when its done. I still can't believe thats my belly button. he he. And its over so quick, its totally worth it!!! Go do it tomorrow, quit hesitating!!! My ears hurt more!! ha PIECE OF CAKE. Anyways, I talk too much. But oh yeah, I read that if you have a think navel flap, it could hurt alot more.. thats just what I read. Mine is pretty thin tho, and he even did it deep. So I hope you have fun w/ your new piercing. ;) I know I'm having a blast! Can't wait to go jewelry shopping. =) later chicas, and stay cool.
