I fainted!

I've been wanting my navel to be pierced since I was in 7th grade. My parents were never cool with the idea and over here in Texas you have to have your parent or guardian with you or else be over 18...sux huh? Well...I forced my step-dad to take me to this tattoo studio kind of close to my house and he agreed but "we were just gonna look!"

Well....we looked and I saw a really cool tattoo that I wanted and I was asking him if I could get one, he said I had to talk to my mom about it but that it was o-k with him...b4 we left I asked the man behind the counter how much it costed to get your navel pierced and he said $35 so I was like...cool. Then I asked my step-dad and again he said I had to ask my mom.

We went home and I mentioned to my mom about the tattoo and she said "NO MA'AM! You can get your navel pierced but NO TATTOOS!" I was like...."awwww why not? Then I thought about what she had said and she said yes to my belly?!?!?" I was sooooo happy. I called my friend Stacy and she said that she wanted to get hers done too. We tried to work something out but nothing ever worked.

Like 4 or 5 days after I asked they finally took me. It was me, my step-dad, and my cousin Matthew. We went and I was kind of nervous. I got over my nervousity and we paid and we went into the room. I took a couple of deep breaths and laid down, just for him to tell me to stand back up to mark it. He marked it then I laid back down. I took a deep breath and I was watching him to make sure everything he used was new. I looked at my step-dad's face and he was also watching to see if everything was new.

He told me everything he was doing while he was doing it. He put that brown stuff on my belly with a huge q-tip looking thing and I asked what it was and he said it was peroxide or something like that. I laid my head down so I wouldn't watch. He got the plier thingies and got my belly....he said "most people say this is the worst part." I didn't feel anything so that kind of gave me a sense of security. Then he grabbed that bar thingy he was gonna poke me with and I got really nervous....he said "deep breath" I breathed in through my nose and out through my mouth I felt it but I tried to imagine it as someone pinching me. It hurt like someone was pinching me.

After that it felt kind of weird and I was starting to get kind of light headed when I got up to look in the mirror. I looked at it and I blacked out for like 1 second and I didn't think anything of it. I walked back over to him and he went through the cleaning process and the no touching and all that with me and then I felt woozy so I asked where the restrooms were. I went to the restroom to splash water on my face and I did and thought about it and I got really dizzy so I sat on the floor....I guess I took a while...I walked out and the dude said....did you get light-headed and I was like...huh? oh yeah a little. Then I walked out and I got my cousin and my step-dad and we walked out of the store and I felt really dizzy then I blacked out completely but I had a mental picture in my mind of what I last saw. My cousin walking next to me and his arm. I grabbed his arm and i guess I fainted. While I was out I dreamt about driving somewhere. When I came to everyone was around me and I said "what happened?" and they said I fainted and blah blah blah and that my eyes rolled back into my head and that I almost stopped breathing. I have no idea why I fainted I've never fainted at a time like that. Then i got into the car and we left....don't be scared though...it doesn't hurt. I guess my nerves got to me...and I got like 2 hours of sleep the night b4 and I hadn't eaten that whole day so my number one tip if your gonna get your navel done is ........EAT!!!!!!
