13year old gets belly pierced

I have wanting a Navel piercing since I was 10.i never thought of being stupid and trying to do it myself. I didn't think of doing it myself until I was about 11 years old. Well, as any smart one would guess its not safe to do it yourself and 9 times out of 10 it gets infected and needs to be removed. Well, I wasn't thinking and did it like 3 times from the time I was 11 until I was 13. And as you would guess they all had to be removed because of infection. My parents are pretty cool and I never really asked to get it done.(i could have but I was scared).Then I asked my Mom in mid May if I could get it done. There was no arguments or nothing and the answer was of course, yes! I was so happy! I didn't rush her to taking me until about 2 weeks before school let out.(may 26,200 school was out!)After she told me she would and never got around to do it my dad told me I could go. So I picked up my best friend and we were off! I got there and I was like "what the hell" but I wasn't going to back down. I thought the place looked like a trailer from the outside appearence.But I went in and looked around. And of course I was wrong! The place was so cleaned the people were really nice. So I told the guy what I wanted and I was off to the chair. I first had to stand up really straight so he could mark the spot.(at this point I was shaking so bad!)But then I laid down in the chair and he cleaned everything and cleaned the inside of my belly. then he put the clamps on. Everyone said that this is the worst part but I didn't even feel a thing. I just watched and hoped for the best. Then he slipped the needle threw which hurt for a split second but not that bad. I watched him take the needle out and but in the ring. I was so happy I had a grin on my face from ear to ear. Then he put the ball on and I was on my way. My wonderful dad took care of the $50 bill! Now I have had my ring for about almost 3 months on the 24 of July! The healing process is going good. The first week it was sore and red. But the piercer said that was normal. A month into having it, it started to bleed alot.It bleed bad for about 2 days. After those two days it was fine and looked good. I'm not sure why it did that but I'm glade it stoped.Now it looks awesome though I know its not COMPLETELY healed I still have a few more months to go before I'm comfortable changing the ring. When the healing process is over I hope to change it to a gold 14g Hoop or Barbell.(I have a surgical steel 14g in now.

*Word of advice*

If you want a navel ring I suggest you wait until you are allowed to get one instead of doing it yourself. The reason for this (which I learned the hard way) is because if you do it yourself and you take it out because of infection or wrong placing the hole is replaced with scare tissue. And BELIEVE me it hurt 10 times as worst then it should because the scare tissue make it hard to go threw so there for it hurt more.

*For those of you interested in getting a navel piercing here is the most common procedure in getting it done*

1. They will tell you to lift up your shirt and tell you to stand tall so they can mark the spot in where they are going to pierce it.

2. They will tell you to lie down in the chair so they can clean everything up and around you navel.

Note*Please make sure they use a FRESH needle from a NEW just opened in your face pacage.If they don't please make sure they have a sterilized Machine to clean the needles. *

3. They will now put the clamp on. This is the worst of the whole thing. But in my case I didn't feel a thing.

4. They will tell you to be very still and to take a deep breath. After you exhale they will stick the need thew.This should only hurt of a couple of seconds.

5. Next they will take the needle out which is followed with the ring or barbell.(this shouldn't hurt either)

6. They will but the ball on. And explain how to keep it clean.

All in all the experience shouldn't be bad.

If you want your navel pierced I say GO FOR IT Because its not as bad as you think!
