JaLynne's Navel Piercing

At A Glance Author anonymous Contact anonymous@bme.anon Studio Blue Moon Galery I was 15 when I gotten my navel pierced. I had wanted it pierced since I was 14. I had tried it a couple of times by myself. 1 out of the 3 times it got it got ripped out. I always asked my Mom and Dad to let me get it done professionaly. They always said, "No". I started going to the tanners in March of 2000. I got really dark and i lost alot of weight. I was sitting at home one night and I decided to ask my Mom 1 more time. She told me to ask my Dad and I did. He told me if I thought that i had the stomach for it, then I could. I couldn't believe that he said that I could. My best friend had her navel pierced and she told me that I should go to Blue Moon Galery at the mall. She gave me a card and I called as soon as I got home. I had to make and appointment and make sure that when I came, i brought some form of indetification with me to make sure that my Mom was really my Mom. My appointment was for 2:30 on Saturday, May 6. When we got to the mall, I was really scared and nervous. My Mom and I walked into the piercing place. I told the guy who I was and he asked me to see some form of identification and I said, "Shit, I knew that I had forgot something". He asked my Mom if she had any picutres of me and she gave him my school picture. The guy said that he usually doesn't do this, but seeing how we looked alike he could pierce me.He gave me some papers to sign. While I was signing them, he went into the back room and got everything set up for my piercing. When all the papers were signed, he came out of the room and asked me if I was ready. I said, "Yes". We went back there and he asked me if I wanted my Mom with me for support and I said sure. I called my Mom back there with us. He had me pull my shirt up so he could look at my navel. He called me Pudgey!! I just smiled and laughed. He had me read the packet of a non sterilized needle and tell him the color of the package. Then he cleaned my navel with some iodine and then with hydrogen peroxide. He then marked it with a pen and asked me if the placement was alright and I said, "Sure". (I just wanted to get it done and over with). Then he clamped a triangle shaped clapm on my navel. He told me told hold on to it then he picked me up and layed me down on the table. After I was layed down, he told me to take a deep breath and to inhale then exhale. While I was doing my breathing, he put the needle through. It basically tickeled. After that, I don't really know what happened. My Mom said that he used some type of cork thing to put the ring on. When the ring was through, I got to pick out my bead. I picked a green glow-in-the-dark one. After that was done, he sprayed some dial soap on it and rinsed it off. That hurt like hell, but it was worth it. When I was all done, I sat up and seen what I had gotten done. I loved the way it looked. The piercer told me in very good detail how to clean it and he gave me a bag of sea salt. My Mom paied them $38 and we went home. The whole way home, I was very careful not to pull on it. When I got home, I noticed that it had started to bleed a little bit. I called my friend and asked her if it was supposed to bleed and she said that it was nothing to worry about. Before I took my shower, I poured some disteled water into a dixi cup and then put some sea salt in with it, I let it set on my navel for about 5 minuted. I got in the shower I washed my ring with liquid dial soap. Then I put some neosporin on it. It had pussed and crusted up a little bit after that. The following Monday at school, I showed everybody that i though would like to see my belly. I had found out that my bead was 2x bigger then the normal beads. My navel had gotten infected because of the bead being so big and my clothes always rubbing on it. Now, 2 1\2 months after, I am going to get the ring changed to a bananna-bell. I have noticed alot of guys like my ring and are very attracted to it. I am very glad that my Mom and Dad decided to let me get it done. Return to Navel piercing experiences
