My first experience with piercing was when I was a child. I was 8 years old when I finally got my first ear hole piercing. To me that was so painful. Because I never felt the pain of needles other that the doctors office. To me piercing was a forbidden art for those who are apart of the brave and strong. Years later I decided to go with the current trend and get a second ear hole piercing. I got it done at store in the mall . When I Got them done , my ears swole up like chicken tenders. I know it's weird and funny sounding but thats what they looked like. I didn't go to school until the swelling went down.

No piercings or tattoos at all; well that changed when christmas eve of 2006 my friend went for a tattoo and we both came out with tattoos. The needle in that case was very small and almost not there. I watched many tv shows about piercing and tattoos; discovery taboo show and miami and LA inked .
I first saw the madonna piercing when I was in 12th grade and a girl I used to sit by had a tiny madonna piercing with a little black ball at the end. I thought that it would look cute on me, but at the time I was apart of drama club and that piercing would label me a greaser or goth or skater. I put those notions of grandure behind me until I was put in a situation where I couldn't refuse . My style has changed since high school so I had no excuse to turn this chance down. If anyone is thinking about getting something done to their body and isn't going to do it because of what people think. Stop and think about what you want; ask yourself if your going to like it on yourself and also why your getting it and where. Otherwise you will regret it. If you get it and don't like it then you can just take it out and it will close up. Im sure there will be minimal scarring because there is barely any damaging of the tissue of the exterior of the piercing. Now with all that said; come follow me through my exciting and thought provoking journey of getting my madonna piercing. Enjoy!
January 24,2008 at 2:29 pm, the day my long awaited dream became a reality. The thought of being stuck in the lip with a needle thicker than those of doctors offices, scared the crap out of me. I couldn't believe I was actually going through with it. Days earlier I was placed in a dare. The dare was, if I didn't get some random guys number, I would have to proceed to pierce a part of my body that I always wanted to do but never had the guts. Of course I lost, being the shy girl I've always been; So my girls took me to the parlor.
I was extremely scared that the guy was gonna hit a main vein or bust one of my arteries or something doing this. I've always thought the madonna was so beautiful especially if it had a black labret stud in it. So I kept going , because I couldn't wait to see how mine would turn out. The piercer sat me down and sanitized the area of around my lip. He opened all his utensils and from there he took a clamp that look like scissors and secured my lip. In an instant he stuck a needle through my lip. You wanna know what? It didn't even hurt like I assumed it did. If you've ever been pinched really hard by an annoying sibling or cousin; well thats how it feels. Not bad at all. He slipped the labret into place and closed it off. It was a done deal. There was a few drops of blood ; but nothing out of the ordinary.
I took a look at my new face adorned with something I always thought beautiful. I was extremely happy with the outcome. It fit my face so well. Although the labret was not black, it still looked good. I cant remove the silver labret and put the shorter black one in, until the swelling goes down . That should take 3 to 7 days . I was instructed to brush my teeth often to keep the bacteria level down in my mouth and to use sea salt; as it helps with healing and disinfecting. The pain is virtually gone. Turns out that beauty isn't all that painful at all. Anyone thinking about getting this piercing done. I highly recommend it; you'll like what you see.
