Four days ago I went to get my inverse vertical labret, heres my story =]

So after spending a few months pondering a new piercing I came across BME. I had already said I wanted something a bit different, I wanted people to be like oooo what's that etc. so I found the vertical labret, and liked the look of it and thought I wanted to get one. But then after taking a friend to hedonism (my local piercing studio) I saw a girl in there with what I now know is am inverse vertical labret. As soon as I saw it I knew I had to get one.
So I made another stop on the BME website to find out what this piercing was, and to find out how it was done. Upon first seeing an inverse vertical labret I didn't have clue how it was done or where the second ball was! I read through a few stories on BME, noticed that there wasn't many people on BME who had put picture or stories up so I guessed in was a "rare" piercing, which made me want it even more.
I showed my friend's pictures and they all told me to go for it, as they said it would suit me and was really different to anything they had seen before. Then I hit a major problem!!! My mum, I showed her a picture and told her all would be fine id look after it and nothing would go wrong, but she stood firm I wasn't aloud it when living in her house.
About a week ago I went with a friend to get a piercing done. As I was stood in the place all I could think about was getting an inverse vertical labret, so I chatted to a very pierced friend of mine about it. I had already decided I wanted it to be done with a 1.2mm bar as I have small lips and wanted small balls on it. She agreed and told me to talk to her piercer, but I was already set on getting it done at hedonism as I knew they had done it before and my other piercing's from there were done perfectly!
So I started on my mum again. After what felt like hours of please mum let me go etc etc. she gave in and told me just get out and go and get it done. So I went off on my own to get it done!!! Before I went I got something to eat and a bottle of water, as I had read this was going to be painful and I didn't want to faint.
Finally I get to hedonism and explain what I wanted doing, they completely understood what I was asking for, and explained that the back would hit my teeth, and all the usual problems. I was then taken upstairs to get the piercing done. My lip was cleaned and numbed, the dot placed where it would be pierced. After checking the positioning with me he was ready to do it. He explained that because of where it was he couldn't use clamps so would have to do it free hand, also because it was free hand it would be a slow piercing. As the pushed the needle through my lip I have honestly never in my life felt pain like that!! He stopped in the middle and with one final push it was done. He put in the jewellery I had requested (1.2 curved barbell with really small balls) he agreed this would be fine for the piercing. All the way through the procedure he checked I was ok and made me feel really safe. He gave me a mirror to check the piercing while he explained to clean it regularly with mouth wash and two salt water soaks a day. I was then told to return in a week's time to have a smaller bar put it, but if anything didn't seem right or swelled over the balls he told me to go straight back.
As I left hedonism I felt a little faint, I put this down how painful it was. I got the bus to the town where my mum works to go and show her. I was told it was horrible by mum which upset as I was now in love with it! I went and bought a pack of straws to drink and a packet of cotton wool buds to clean it with. It soon started to swell and feel really sore. I went home and ate a plate of chips with great ease!! And the straws weren't really needed I could drink fine. Ive had it done for four days now and ive been able to eat and drink fine since the day ive had it done. Its still swollen but that's expected, I use mouth wash after I eat and drink and clean with salt water twice a day as I was told. One strange thing that has happened though is I have a small bruise out the outside of my mouth, its where the ball would sit if it was a vertical labret, but I did read someone elses story and they had the same bruise so im not to worried. Everyone of my friends that have seen it love it, kissing is a bit strange, as its still new makes it a little sore, but that should get better in time. The only bad thing about this piercing is the initial pain of getting it done; im not the kind of person to complain about pain, but this really did hurt. I would highly recommend the piercing and hedonism to anyone who would listen to me!!!
