Well yeah I guess I'll start by explaining how I got interested in the piercing; especially the cheeks.
Well it all started when i went with my friend who was getting her monroe pierced; I was myself a good customer of the place. When it was done; we started to talk about my next hole. We were both in love with little dimples and all old school stuff. She said it would really suit me well (I have a little round face and I'm all tiny like..; 4feet11 and ... 85pds I think?) So I thought about it but 'cause I'm less than 16 (age limit in Quebec) I couldn't realize all of my fantasm for now.

I started arguing with mother/father on my chances to get other holes in my face. About ... 7 months after getting my friend pierced I finally got the go for it :). I started to shop for a place to trust to get my piercing 'cause I found out the other shop I was going to wasn't what I'd call "safe".

So I started to make phone calls and finally ended up talking to Hugo from ParadoXe, he explained me how he was going to avoid from pierce in my salivary glands etc (Yeah my mom is a dentist; it was her only condition) So I took an appointment for him to decide on which size for the jewelry he was going to put in.

When I got there I instantly knew it was going to be fine; he was nice and gentle and the place was clean (My mother even said it was Cleaner than her own clinic).

So the big day arrived, I got there with my boyfriend and with my mother in order for her to sign for my permission. I was stressed as heel, my hands were a little bit shaky, thank god I remind me to eat before going or else I sure would have fainted. So I sat on his chair and we decided we would put 20mm labret bars in. We tried to make the placement for about ...20 minutes I think; My face isn't smiling all together and it was a little bit complicated. I don't have a symmetrical face -_-. Anyway we got it after all. He gave me Oral-b to rinse my mouth before the procedure and we were ready to go. He made me lay down, asked me to take deep breath in and out and the first needle got in. It was kind of an odd feeling, like feeling every layers of my skin and frankly it wasn't painful as I thought it would be. Then he realized I had cheeks way too thin and the piercing was too near to my teeth to get a 20mm bars (Yeah good job it's already in). So he decided to take 16mm bars and to replace it. Oh god, I didn't expect that to hurt as it did. He told me he was going to put in a 14g taper in (My labret bar was 16g!) and change the bar. He just forgot to tell me taper was going to be a pain in the neck. So anyway he finally achieved and we were off the next one; thought I wasn't sure I wanted to go through all this once again. Anyway I was too decided so we went for it. The second one was a little bit more painful than the first one, probably because I couldn't remember to take deep breath. So yeah it was finally done.
My boyfriend was almost in tears, my mom wouldn't come in until Hugo told her I wasn't bleeding anymore. Finally I payed and went home.

The night was..... something, in fact I didn't sleep or so. I usually sleep on the front and to lay on the back wasn't any help to fall asleep for me. The next day wasn't so painful, just a little pinching. I was having a very little amount of swelling and I was happy about it.
The second day wasn't worst.
The third morning I woke up with a really swollen face; I looked ill and obese! I chewed on ice and took Advils to take the swelling down.
The fourth day I wasn't really prettier so I went to Hugo just to ensure I was normal and that I wasn't having real problems. Finally He explained me the pain was from the inside of my mouth and the base of the labret bar taking its place inside my cheek. And the swelling wasn't odd or anything and that he would change the bars only if it had gotten worst in the next 72 hours or so.

So I waited and eventually it got a little better but I was still experiencing swelling. Now it's been like 10 days since I've got my dimples and... well I still look a little strange but beside t, everything is fine.

It's definitively a piercing I would recommend but only on determined person who know what they're doing with their bodies.
