Firstly I have to say that I love piercings and tattoos. I currently have nine, three in each ear, navel, tongue, lip and I did have my nose done. And two tattoos and I'm hoping to get loads more!
At A Glance Author anonymous Contact anonymous@bme.anon When Six months ago Artist dont know Studio boothill Location bedfont So this is a story of my side lip piercing (it's on the left hand side) which was done roughly about 6 months ago and is my newest piercing.
I'm also very lucky because I have really laid back parents so I dont even have to tell them I'm getting it done, as long I pay for it myself they're happy for me to have anything done!
But everytime I get a piercing, days later I'm itching for another one. So after getting my tongue pierced I wanted another one! But after the horrible healing process of a tongue piercing I decided to give my body a break and wait a couple of months! So one day I was looking on this website and started looking at the lip piercings. I had really wanted it done but my friends said it wouldnt suit me as I was too much of a 'girly girl' (apparently)! But I thought to myself, I want it done! Who cares what people think?
So I grabbed my two friends and we made our way to the tattoo studio which does piercings too. (I will say that although I love piercings, I'm s%@t scared of them)! So I was really nervous on the bus. It makes it even worse because you have to eat before you get a piercing but when your really nervous you really dont want to eat! So took a quick stop off at the offlicence and bought a couple of chocolate bars and loads of fizzy drinks! (I had a friend who didnt eat before getting a piercing and she passed out in a shop so this is very important! Especailly if there are people who want to do a D.I.Y piercing)!
We got to the studio and I told the lady what I wanted, filled in the forms (which I find is the worst bit because theres no turning back after that)! sat down and waited for a very long time while I thought, DO I really want this piercing??? But then I was called in so there was no looking back now....
I've had many piercings in that studio so theyre are very well respected and they're always clean and wear gloves and all the things are in packages. Plus alot of my friends have had their piercings and tattoos done there.
So I sat down on the chair with my friend by my side while the lady cleaned my lip and marked it with a pen, after asking me if it was ok (which it was) I sat down on the chair and squeezed my friends hand so hard I think she was more scared than me!
So the lady held the needle said, 'ready? 1....2....3....'
And it was in! The needle part wasnt that bad but putting the bar through was harder because the ball is so tiny (Be careful when you change it, the amount of times I've lost the ball because its so tiny)! I will admit it hurt more than I thought, (seeing as though I had my tongue done and that didnt hurt at all I was like, 'hey this isnt going to hurt at all)! but nothing that bad at all! So I rinsed my mouth out with that disgusting mouth wash which makes your mouth go numb so you drool everywhere. I got an aftercare sheet from the front,thanked and paid her and me and my friends left.
Unlike my tongue piercing were I couldnt eat for like two weeks, within an hour me and my friends were down bedfont lakes eating a picninc and I was fine! I admit I ate slower than usual and caught the bar on my teeth a couple of times! I had very slight swelling but apart from that it was great!
So now its been about 6 months and I have a shorter bar in. Its great to play with when your bored so now I'm constantly sittng down playing with my tongue and lip bar, it drives some people mad, but I love it! Oh and by the way now everyone says that it really suits me, so dont always listen to your friends!!
So now its been 6 months and I really want another tatoo or piercing! So I'll probaly post another one of these in a month or something with my new body addition!
And one last thing....I would definately say to get this piercing done! The healing period is really easy and it look so good! But just dont do it yourself!
