The first time that I had gotten my labret pierced was January 14, 2006; My friend got her tongue pierced, and I got my labret done. All was well and good, but I ended having to take it out due to soccer, since you're not allowed to have any jewelery in, and I was paranoid about taking it out, so I would always cover up my face when a referee would go by.. and it started looking stupid.

So anyway, fast forward to December, I think it was. Or January, maybe? And I decided, what the hell, I am going to get my labret re-pierced. It was the day I had gotten suspended from school, so I went to Square One to get some shopping done, and then I called up my friend who was still at school and asked her to meet me at the bus terminal after school and come with me to get pierced since I absolutely hate going by myself; nerves and the like. While I waited for her to get there, I walked around the mall to kill the time, and then finally just went to the terminal to sit and wait for her.

When she finally got there, we went to get our eyebrows waxed, then hopped on the 19 and were off to Xtremities. When we got off the bus, about 15 minutes later, I was all nervous and paranoid as we walked there, even though I already knew what to expect, since I previously had it pierced. When we finally got to the shop, I took a deep breath, and told myself to stop being a pussy and we went in, and told her what I wanted. So she gave me the forms to sign, which I did, paid the $55? dollars, and then went back into the piercing room, with my friend Alyssa. As I watched her take everything out of the packages, blah blah blah, then she finally clamped me, told me to take a deep breath, and breathe out on the count of three (when she pierced it). As she pierced it since it was directly through the scar tissue (as in, pierced in the exact same spot as before) it did HURT, I won't even lie. I think that I squeezed the hell out of Alyssa's hand, especially as the needle was just in there.

The piercing kept trying to reject the jewelery when Bebe would try and get it in, so she ended up having Steve (the shop owner) put the post in, and using a longer one than usual. This is the point where my friend ended up almost passing out from watching it and seeing the blood and from me squeezing her hand. But in the end, Steve got it in, and it hurt a bit, but that dulled. But after it got in, I sat there swishing water in my mouth to get all the blood out, and then I had some juice since I felt like passing out too =/

She gave me all the usual aftercare instructions, told me no kissing, or oral until it was healed and told me to go back in a few weeks so that she could downsize the post to one that didn't stick out so much. Which I ended up doing when my friend went to get the jewelery in her nipple piercing changed. However, the post she changed it too ended up being too short for me still, so I put the long one back in, and will have to get a bio-plast post and have it cut to the proper length, because all the shorter posts are too short for me, and the long ones are too long. But, I keep putting it off, and being lazy about it.

The healing went relatively well, I must say. Just had a few instances where it would start oozing and whatnot, but that was my fault. Just did the usual mouthwashing/bactine/etc, and it was perfectly fine... though I will admit I was not as diligent with cleaning it as I was the first time around, but that was my bad. I have been like that with most of my piercings after the first few (which is baaad!). I thought my grandfather would be angry that I got it repierced, but apparently he never noticed, and thought I had never taken it out in the first place.

All in all, it was a great experience. Bebe makes you feel extremely comfortable, and explains everything she is going to be doing, and you don't feel nervous with her at all, I find! I have gotten both nipples, labret, and navel pierced there (though I had my belly button done by Conrad), and would recommend them to everyone in the Mississauga area. They located at Hurontario/Dundas... on Dundas, quite easy to find! =)
