First of all, let me say, I love my piercings. They're so unique and wonderful. I have 9 now. Snakebites on my lip, eyebrow, 2 in one ear, 3 in the other, and my just done madonna on the left. I'm sixteen, and I am oh so lucky.

From then on, I was addicted to piercings. 5 months later I got my eyebrow. 6 months later, after a huge breakup with my boyfriend, I got the other side of my lip done, snakebites. Then, 2 months later, I got my madonna. Yes, I have alot of metal on my face, but I love it.
I thought about getting a madonna about 2 weeks after I saw this girl with it, she looked so awesome and I though to myself, I need another piercing, seriously. I went on here bmezine to look at pictures and read stories of the madonna, and to say I was thrilled. I also googled it to see about the aftercare and junk like that, even though I already know how to clean it. I take it a madonna is not different than a regular piercing. So I asked my friend tony if he'd pay for it now and i'd pay him back and he said sure. So I told my mom that night I just came home, that if I can get a piercing. She told me the places not to get it. Then jokingly I said I was going to get my anti-eyebrow and she was like are you crazy? I was going to get my septum but she said no. So I was like, whatever, I'll do it some other time. I just decided to get my monroe. Even though it is a common piercing here at my school and out, I know mine sticked out more because of my snakebites, which im so in love with.
Anywho..
So Me and tony hop into his car and we drive downtown San Bernardino to Pirate City Tattoo. Very nice, Sanitary, cool place. All the guys are always hot. So I go in, and since they know me and see by all my piercings don't even ask how old I am. You have to be 18 to get a piercing without a parent present. But, Im just lucky. So the guy asked me what I wanted and I said a monroe and he was like alright. I picked a stud with a pink diamond in the middle, perfect. :] Tony pays him, and the guy goes and set's up. I watch him do it and look at the tattoos. Then he calls me in and tells me to sit down. He asks me where do I want it and I tell him the left, since my eyebrow is on the right, he marks it and aligns it with my left lip piercing which was perfect. He clamps my lip and tells me to breath. 1..2..ouch. He asks if I was ok, and I said yes. He then puts in the stud then looks at me dissapointedly. He said it came out cricket. Fuck. 2 times a piercing comes out cricket for me. When I first got my second lip piercing, they had to pierce it 3 times beause the ring kept bumping with my teeth, but oh god, I love the sensation of the needle going through my skin. The adrenaline ruching through your head is just so wonderful. Anyways, So he just asks me if I want him to repierce it and I just say yes. He clamps my lip again and inserts the needle again, but half way, before the needle even goes in he tries hard to push it through, apparantly the skin healed hard and fast, so he just stuck it through and inserted the stud. I look in the mirror and it was perfect. He gave me some scope and told me to clean it with antibacterial soap on the outside and thats it. I was on my way.
On the ride home, I nearly passed out of the pain, it hurted quite bad, but I got over it. I got home, and immediately drank some water, because everytime I get a new piercing by my lips, my lips get dry and chapped. Which they are still. I barely got the piercings yesterday, and it is great. It's not so swollen, just a tiny little bit, which is ok. My mom thinks it's way too much, but I love it. You can never have enough piercings. That what I like to tell myself.
If you want to get a piercing, make sure it's something you want and you'll be dedicated to taking care of it and having patience. The healing wait is untoleralble, but after wards it's so pretty and it'll be definately worth the wait.
Even though, I'm like effing Wolverine or something healing really fast, but it's all good. Not everyone could be Wolverine. :]
