About three years ago I saw a girl in school who had her lip pierced. She was a very cute girl and her lip piercing just made her so much more attractive. When I saw this I was really curious about it, I thought it looked very sexy. I wanted to get my lip pierced but my parents told me that I should look into it and find a place that it would be safe to do it. I found a studio where my sister and her boyfriend had gotten pierced so I asked them about it. They said it was a good to place to get anything done. I went to the studio to check it out. It was a very clean place with very nice staff and a really neat setup of the studio.

So about 4 months later I asked my sister to take me the piercing studio so I could get my lip done. She said ok, so we drove to saqs to find out how much and when I could get it done. I didn't think I was going to be able to do it that day because they were really busy. When I talked to the lady at the counter she said it would be 38 dollars and a 15-minute wait. She asked me for my I.D. and I told her I didn't have it; we had to leave to get my license. For me this sucked because I live about 30 minutes away from the studio when the traffic is good. So we drove back to my house to get my license and started to go back, when we got there most of the people had left. This is when I started to get nervous. This was going to be the first time I've been pierced. I gave the lady at the desk my license and paid, she gave me some papers to fill out then I sat down to wait. While we were waiting my sister whom has a lot of piercings started to tell me how much it was going to hurt to try and get me scared.
It seemed like and hour before the piercer fingers can out and asked me to come in. The piercer fingers had a lot of piercings himself including both sides of his lips. He said that it didn't hurt him but that everyone has a different level of pain tolerance. He kind of calmed me down a little but I wasn't trying to show that I was nervous. I sat down and he started to tell me how he got his piercings, then he started to explain what everything he was using was for and how he was going to do it. He asked me to go into the bathroom so I could wash my mouth. Then he cleaned the outside of my mouth and marked the spot, he asked me to see if the spot was were I would like it. I asked him if he would move it down just a little bit so he cleaned it and moved it down to where I liked it better. He told me to breath in and out and on the third breath out he would pierce me. Then he started to strike up a conversation with me to get my mind at ease. I started to breath normally the n on what I thought was my second breath he did it. I could feel the needle pushing through the layers in my lip. I watched as he pushed the needle through quickly and effortlessly. I could hear the sounds of crunching and popping as it went through.
But it was not what I had expected at all. I was waiting for some extreme pain but it wasn't like that. I was so nervous that it was going to hurt that my adrenaline was pumping out of control so that when he finished I felt as if I were floating on a cloud. It was one of the greatest experiences I've felt. It is a feeling that is really hard to describe exactly but if feels good and it is addicting. Now I know what people get a lot of piercings. Its not just for personal looks its for the pleasure of the pierce.
Since then I got my eyebrow pierced twice me lip once more and my ears gauged. I like how it feels to get pierced and I think it looks sexy. So far getting a job isn't that bad currently my boss doesn't care about things like that, but applying at other places is a little more difficult. In the near future I will get a few tattoos, and maybe a new piercing or two. Just remember to take your I.D. with you, cause it sucks to leave it when you live far away.
