Hello everybody,

This is my first experience post ever so I hope it's of good quality:)

I'm an eighteen year old boy, with an extremely passion for body modification. In my area, I'm one of the only people of my age with fourteen piercings. I got three labrets,two vertical nipples, an inverse navel, a stomach surface, rook, stretched ear, conch, tragus, tongue and two lowbrets. These were the last additions to my collection.

I've been browsing BME for some inspiration for new piercings. I came across the lowbret-pics and I was immediately hooked! I just loved the look of them and they were still pretty original. So I decided to go out and have them done... On a Saturday, me and a friend decided to go to Lifestyle in Maastricht (The Netherlands).

Saturday morning started really badly. I almost overslept and missed the bus. I ran to the bus stop and I could still catch it! First, I had to go to a bank in the next village, so I got of the bus and went to the bank. Ironically, it was closed! I was really pissed that I couldn't have my lowbrets done. I messaged my friend that I didn't have the money, so the trip had to be cancelled. My friend replied that she would loan me the money! I was so happy, that I went on my way to Maastricht. It was about one hour and a half on the bus to get there...but it was worth it.

We stepped into the shop and I went to the counter where the lovely Joyce asked me what I wanted done. I explained and she showed the jewelry for the lowbrets. I had to wait a couple of minutes and then came Roel. He said I could go upstairs and wait. In the other piercing room, there was a girl complaining how frightened she was and finally she walked out the shop, with no piercings. My friend and I laughed with it.

Then finally, it was my turn. Roel said that I could sit in the chair and I had to rinse with this horrible mouthwash, then he could place the dots for the placement of my piercings. It was perfect for the first time, I couldn't wait to have the dots changed into shiny balls. :) Then came the clamping, I thought it would be very uncomfortably because of the placement of lowbrets is very low in your mouth. It wasn't uncomfortable at all, I could handle it :). Roel unwrapped the needle and talked to me about my breathing etc. Then he asked if I was ready, I nodded and needle number one was in. It really didn't hurt one bit, and only a small amount of blood. He put the jewelry trough and number one was set. Being the nice man he is, he asked if it was ok to do the next one. I agreed and number two was clamped and then pierced. I couldn't wait to watch my new piercings in the mirror. I looked and it was love at first sight! My friend liked them too and Roel was proud of the resu lt. He said to me that I had to ask Joyce for a picture for their photo book. I was honored by this.

I went downstairs and stood inline in front of the counter, because there were a lot of people now. Famous body modifier Emilio Gonzales was there too, he was there to train the Lifestylers. We met him at a party, so my friend was having a chat with him, while I paid and posed for the picture.

When we walked through Maastricht, a lot of people were staring at my lowbrets and being the attention-freak that I am, a smiled back at them :). My friend couldn't stop taking pictures of me and my piercings. But man I hate being on pictures:). Anyway, the reactions of my friends were very positive. They all thought it looked nice and that it was very original. Only a couple of girls of my school thought it looked weird, but hey, they only think that navelpiercings are "normal"...

The aftercare is doing well so far. Using the mouthwash after every meal really helps and keeps my breath fresh! For the outside of the piercing, I use Unicura soap, an anti-bacterial soap that I've used on every single one of my piercings. The swelling isn't so bad and the piercings really do look nice! I'm so happy that my friend loaned me the money, I totally adore these piercings! My dad wasn't too excited about the piercing, but hey, parents are only here to complain ;). If you are wondering what kind of piercing you want, I would suggest lowbrets, just do it!
