Ok so here it goes. I have always wanted to get a Labret or Vertical Labret. So today {Nov.14, 2002} I went to Fondue Body Boutique because a friend had said they do a really good job on tats and piercings. So I called up my Boyfriend and asked him to come along with me to get a new piercing and he said ok. So we headed out to get it done but along the way we stopped so that I could get something to drink Then we pulled up into the parking lot and I got really nervous like always and so we sat outside and had a cigg {my normal prepiercing ritual ha-ha}.

Then told me to just hang out and the piercer {sorry but I forgot his name} would come and get me when he was ready. So my boyfriend and I walked over and were looking at tats and no sooner had I flipped the page that the piercer came out and said to come on back...
Well when we got into the room besides it being very very clean the piercer kind of put me at ease because I tend to get the prepiercing jitters. I asked him if it would hurt much and he asked if I had gotten any other facial piercings before and I told him yes I had pierced my nose before myself so he preceded to tell me that it would hurt about as much as that so that calmed me down a bit.
He had me swish some blue Listerine and showed me everything as he was opening it so that I knew it was all sterilized. I was sitting in the chair and he marked the lower part of my lip but then decided that it was to low cause he seen that my lip is a bit full on the bottom so his second mark was perfect and he had me look at it and I asked my boyfriend is it looked ok and he said yes and then the piercer marked the top part of my lip and the put the clamp on me and I have read other stories where people say that the clamp hurt them but I didn't feel a thing and then he told me to take a deep breathe and as soon as I was exhaling he pierced me and I felt a little bit of pain but not much so then he took off the clamp and slide the curved barbell in. I made so of a sigh sound when he was putting the barbell in and he asked if I was ok and I nodded a bit then once he was done I said that I was just relieved that it didn't hurt as bad as I had thought it would. He then had me swish more Listerine. He then went though the speech of after care and told me to come back in after it is healed and he would replace the barbell with a smaller one that will fit better after it is all healed. Then had me sit there so that he could take a picture of my pretty new vertical labret and I thought that was cool because he is planning on using it in the shop. So I decided to make a face and he laughed and didn't take a picture but told me to just sit with my lips normally so I obeyed and did it.
Some of the after care is much like it is when you get your tongue pierced which isn't that bad cause I already have that done. You know swish with mouth wash 4 times a day. Don't play with it (this one is a bit hard not to because it tends to move on its own and I got to get it turned back the right way.) But I have to do salt water soaks instead of just swishing it. But it doesn't seem all that bad.
Now that I am home I have tried eating and it is a bit hard and I drink out of straws because it makes it easier but it has swelled a bit and is sort of sore but Advil is taking care of that.
I love my new piercing and think it is so pretty and sexy that. I would definitely recommend any one that lives in Sparks, NV to go there for a piercing because the people there are friendly and really cool. I am thinking about going back and getting all my piercings done there maybe even some of the tattoos I want too. :)
