Back in March, I pierced my own labret in my bathroom. Stupid mistake. It was crooked, and it was very hard to eat with. So I took it out a few weeks later, in hopes that I would be able to get it done professionally.

I questioned it at first...but then he showed me pictures of the people he already pierced, ands ome of them were friends of mine...it seemed like a good idea.
Since I had pierced my own face, my parents had forbidden me to get any more piercings until I move out. But I whined and begged and compromised until a few weeks ago...when my mom finally said something along the lines of "FINE, GET THE DAMN THING! I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU DO!" So it was done. All I needed now was 50 bucks.
This could be a problem, since I don't have a job, and there was no chance in hell my parents were going to give me the money. Then on Friday, my friend Renee asked me what I wanted for my birthday (which is next month). I told her I had no idea, and she said she had an idea of something I would like. I was clueless to what she was going to get me, then she asked me if I knew what Russ was up to on the weekend. I had no idea...then we went to the movies, and she asked if I got a hold of him. I did, and he was at home, he had no plans for the weekend. I asked why she wanted to know, and she said cuz it had something to do with my birthday present. Right then I knew she was gonna pay for my lip piercing. I got all giddy and hugged her. Hey, what are best friends for? :)
The next day, I called Russ from Renee's house and told him I was finally getting my lip done. He told us to come on over, and so we left for his house.
When we got there, he had all his equipment out. It was all really well organized, and there was 2 chairs where me and him were going to sit to get it done. I picked out the hoop I wanted, a 14g CBR with a black ball. I signed the waver, and he asked me where on my lip I wanted it. I told him in the center, right about where my scar is from my self-done labret...he said that was too low for a hoop, so he made a mark about half a centimetre above it, and asked if it looked okay. I looked it the mirror, it was good. so he cleaned off my lip with Dial soap and water, then with this yellow stuff that made it look like I had a bruise there. I rinsed out my mouth with Listerine, then I dried out the inside of my lip with a towel, and Russ marked the inside of my lip.
I was a bit nervous, but Russ was very calming and he explained to me exactly what the procedure was, so I was okay. He put the clamp on my lip, and told me to close my eyes and breathe in through my nose and out through my mouth slowly, so I would relax. So I put my head back, and he said, "in through your nose..." and I knew he was going to pierce it. As soon as he said, "and out through your mouth", he put the needle through. It hurt for a second, I could feel it rip, so I flinched a little...then I opened my eyes and Russ told me that it was through. he put the jewelry on, then put the bead on and cleaned off the little bit of blood around it...it looked awesome. I was so happy :)
He told me to rinse my mouth out with Listerine every time I smoke, eat, drink (except water), kiss a guy, and any other time I have something in my mouth. Every morning I clean it with anti-bacterial soap, and rinse my mouth out religiously. Listerine is now my new best friend.
It's been 3 days. It is kind of sore, and I have a little white thing on the inside of my lip where the piercing is. Everyone likes it, except of curse my mom. She's so cute. :)
My next goal is to get my eyebrow pierced...if my mom will go for it. I'm addicted to piercings now...there's definetley room for more. But I will definetley go back to Russ to get it done.
