Stage 4 In My Facial Piercing Project - Anti - Eyebrow

This is one part of stage 4. The other part of this project can be found in the septum section.

These piercings coincided with a pre planned weekend to LAN with one of the local RQP members IMMY. Yep so after class I had planned to drive out to his place. We needed to pack up his rig and dual 19 inch LCDS. All took a while and on the way back we planned to stop by my piercer Dan at www.lefthandpathtattoos.com. There were two piercings I kind of had planned for this visit. Yet I had to chat to Dan and see what he had to say about it and if it was possible. My friend also had some interest in getting a couple of piercings and wanted to ask some questions. This was all perfect :D Great start to the next twenty fours hours!

So we arrived at the studio and were greeted by Dan and I told him what I had planned. I had since my last piercings discovered BME and the anti eyebrow I just knew would be perfect for me !!!

We chatted for a while I had questions about surface piercings, migration etc. Dan answered all my questions and I knew that if I cared for it properly and took particular care the first few days I could have a nice long run with my beautiful anti - eyebrow.

As always Dan never rushed us was easy going and we felt at home. SO after I had got all my questions in I said, "OK, Lets do it". He said, "now?" to which I simply said "YEP"

Dan and I had before this spent considerable time marking my face. I knew where I wanted the piercing. We used PTFE so it would bend with my face as it moved. I also heal quickly with this and had it in my vertical labret done in stage 3. We looked at how much skin I had there and marked it out till we were both happy. Fred one of the tattoists was called in to help with this one. Fred was there to hold the clamps so Dan could focus on the needle and be sure that I got my ant - eyebrow perfectly aligned with the marks. After the clamps were properly adjusted. The needle went through. I uttered the cliche is that it... The jewelry was already in. Most painless piercing I have had. Really thinking of getting this done. DO! It was awesome. There was some bleeding but nothing major.

I admired my new metal beauty in the mirror and was informed of healing times and also that I could expect some bruising and swelling.

I could not wait till Monday and been able to head to class with my latest lovelies on my face. This was piercing number 9 for me from Dan. I will be getting the jewelry shortened this weekend as I go in to get my last 4 piercings and complete my facial project.

The healing process was fine. I used a salt water solution and cleaned four times daily. I had mild bruising under my eye for a couple of days. The swelling was very minimal. I slept on the right side of my face the first few night. Took great care when dressing. Let it soak in the shower. Wore NO MAKEUP and used no hair products as asked. Now a month later my anti is BEAUTIFUL. It never had any redness. No infection, no pain. The piercing is much admired by friends. I am going in again soon for the final stage in my piercings. I will have pics taken for Dan's portfolio. I am again VERY VERY happy. Besides my vertical labret this is one of my favorite piercings.

So in conclusion...

Pain: Pain yeah what pain. This was really no worse than a pince. Pinch your cheek. Pinch it hard. Thats about as painful as it is.

Look: AMAZING :D I know you have seen the BME pics, this is one stunning piercing.

Complications: None so far. I have the flexible barbell in. I clean four times a day. I baby it as I do all my piercings. I did not sleep on it the first night and I have been very cuatious. It looks perfect and my swedish friend has my photo on his work computer to show customers how nice it looks!!

For anyone wanting the anti eyebrow do not let the risk of migration scare you. Make sure you find someone talented and trustworthy to pierce you. Ask them about the risks. AVOID MAKEUP AND HAIR PRODUCTS. If you are a full face makeup girl you can risk it getting into your piercings. I come home I put a damp pad soaked in warm salt water solution and allow it to lie there for 15 minutes. It will stick to my face.

For NZ readers pop in to lefthandpath say you read my stories and say hi to Dan :)
