I have come a long way since my first piercing two years ago when I was the tender age of 13. I can remember as if it was only yesterday. I don't think I will ever forget my first piercing.

I can remember thinking of how good it looked and thought that I'd love to get it done, but never actually thought I would get it done. Before this I was not even allowed to get my ear lobes done so I did not get have too much hope of getting it, or so I thought.
I went up to my mother one day and just said to her; "Since my cousin Lee has his eyebrow pierced, can I get mine done too?" And her immediate reaction was a straight "No!" without even a glimpse of thought.
I asked her every day for two weeks, and as each day went by, I could tell by the way she was going on that she did not disapprove as much as she originally did. After the two weeks she finally agreed. I was so happy when she said yes.
As soon as I had enough money I went straight into town with my grandmother. I had seen advertisement cards in a barber for a place in the city center and I took one of the cards. When I went in I had a mixture of feelings all the way over on the bus. One half of me was excited that I was getting my first piercing, the other half of me was very nervous because I had never gotten a piercing before and did not know what to expect.
Once in the city center I went straight to the piercing/tattoo parlour with my granny. Once I walked in they quickly asked me what age I was, to which I replied 13. The man behind the counter then said I cannot get my eyebrow done because you have to be 14, with parental guidance. My heart sank. I felt the disappointment sinking in. Both my granny and I tried to reason with him saying I was 14 next week (which I was not) but he told me "If I was a week away from 18 he could not serve me alcohol in a pub".
I left this place very disappointed. After all this waiting and begging my parents I thought I would not be able to get it done. At this time I did not know any other piercing places in the area. We walked around and my granny said she thought there was one in the George's Street Arcade. My face lit up. I rushed over there as at this point it was getting late. This place was not as well laid out as the other place, but it did look very clean.
I went up to the man behind the counter and told him I wanted to get my eyebrow done and he told me to get into the line. At this point I was very nervous and excited starting there in the line waiting.
I went in and the guy working there seemed very nice. He must have noticed I looked nervous. He started explaining about the after-care for it and what he was going to do.
It was not as nearly as sore as I had expected it to be. I could feel the needle touching the top of my eyebrow and then a slight pain going through it as he quickly pushed the needle through. He then slipped the needled out and inserted the bar. I was delighted. I had gotten my first piercing. I looked in the mirror right in front of me and was thinking how good it looked.
I got this piercing done mid-july, when i went back to school in September I ended up in a lot of trouble of it and other piercings by this stage. I was in the principal's office a lot because I refused to take it out. I thought it was a stupid rule to make people take out their body piercings. I ended up in the end getting a clear plastic retainer. It was barely noticable. It worked great, I had no more trouble with any of my teachers or the principal after I bought this.
That was the start of many piercing to come. I have since then gotten all my piercings to date in the same place as I got my first one. Later this week I will be getting my lip pierced, in the same place as I have gotten all my piercing done. I cannot wait un till I get this done. I've been looking forward to it for a good while. I'm sure it won't be two years before I get around to typing this one up.
