One day I was sitting on my bedroom floor in front of my mirror, I was sewing some shirts up, and was thinking, 'hell I have needles in front of me, and since I want to pierce my septum so much, I should just do it now'. Well I had already had my navel, ears [8x],clit,and nipples, done so piercings weren't a new thing for me and I wasn't afraid of how much it would hurt. But after much self debating, I decided that I wanted my eyebrow done more. But wasn't quite sure since I drew my eyebrows and I didn't know if I would end up hating it, but didn't care, and decided I was going to do it anyways, without my mom's permission, and I wasn't going to let her know.

So I got my 18g needle, peroxide in a cup, gloves, and paper towels, and a marker. I marked my eyebrow, and it looked pretty straight. I grabbed the skin with one hand, and grabbed the needle that had been soaking in peroxide with the other, I proceeded to stick the needle into the skin I was holding, it wasn't hard to get through, it went through pretty easy, and didn't hurt at all, and didn't bleed.

Since the needle was only 18g and I didn't have any jewelry that small, I left the needle in over night. I woke up the next morning, my eyebrow didn't hurt, and it didn't swell at all. But the needle was halfway out, and the hole had closed up some, so I had to pierce through it again. Which didn't hurt, but I was pretty pissed off about. I loved how it looked, and sometimes I forgot it wasn't even there, and I figured it would have some pain, the day after getting it done. I keep the needle in for 4 days, I hid it under a hat and the help of my bangs. The day after I had pierced it I went to school and everyone told me they liked it, and asked tons of questions, I also had allot of people tell me to take it out, and that I was going to regret it. Then my grandma saw it, freaked, and told me that I needed to take the needle out, and that she was worried about having it in my face, and I needed to put jewelry in it. So I went in the bathroom and took the needle out, and got a 14g belly ring, I stuck it in, it went in good, but almost to the end it go stuck and wouldn't go any farther.

After trying to push the ring in for over 45 minutes, my eyebrow started to bleed and hurt allot. So I gave up. I didn't put anything back in my eyebrow, and left it alone for the night. I woke up the next morning with my eyebrow completely swollen, to the point where I couldn't see out of my eye, I had to stay home for 2 days, while my eye slowly went down. I had to hold ice on it, all day for the 2 day-period. It finally went down, but I was left with 2 ugly dents on my eyebrows, which you could see because I draw on my eyebrows. I had the dents for almost 2 months, they just started to slowly fade away, and I can somewhat hide them with the help of makeup.

And 2 days after piercing mine myself, my best friend Kat got hers done professionally, she didn't have any problems with hers, she cleaned it and it was straight, which made me wish I would of just gotten it done professionally, and I would of been much happier with the results. But her eyebrow did end up surfacing, and she had to get it pierced again, in the same spot, a few days, after taking the ring out and letting it heal up. So I guess we both got fucked up piercing in the end, but she still has her pierced, even though she had to get it done twice. I envy her piercing, and every one laughs at the thought of mine.

What I want people to get out of my story is that, don't pierce yourself, on your own, if you don't have the proper needles, or body jewelry. Get it professionally done, you will like it better in the end. You wont get a swollen eye, or dents on your face, you will get something that you will enjoy, and you wont have to have a painful and ugly aftermath. I know your probably like whatever, she is just dumb and screwed her self over on that one, just take my advice, and wait till you have permission, the right jewlery, and a professional who knows what they are doing.

Good luck with everyone's piercings, hope you like them in the end, and they look killer!!

Happy Piercing

The happy to be pierced, Summer Lynn
