Okie dokes, here we go....

Having recently been in a fight and looking to piss them off, I told them I was going to get my lip repierced. I had it done a while ago, but had to take it out. My mom hit the roof, naturally and my dad was surprisingly calm. He said he would be fine with it as long as I didn`t pierce my nipples, but how would ever find out....
So a little while later, couple of weeks actually, my dad asked if I was actually going to get it done. I said no. the problem was, too many people at my school had it now! As soon as I decided to get something done, someone else did it first. Example: my lip, my nape, my anti-tragus....everything. So I decided to get something that no one even thought about. My bridge, I asked everyone, and they hated it. Perfect. I wasn`t actually serious about it until my friend said it would look good on me. Me? With two dots on my nose? Sounds a bit...weird! I like it! It was settled....bridge it would be.
So Friday the 13th, lucky little me, I went over to my friend Marks house after a VERY slow day. He made himself some rice, I couldn`t eat, I was too excited. We watched a couple episodes of family guy and at 4 o`clock, we headed to the bus stop. On the way downtown we talked about everything from how bad he thought it was going to look, to what the hell the word "concur" meant. We arrived at Rideau, took out some money, bought a disposable camera and skipped off into the sunset of pericing parlors.
Mark gets all his holes done at Universal, and he always talks about how cool Jen (the "pokER") is, so I decided to get her to poke me......ha, poke. We walked in and it wasn`t busy, so I asked the guy at the counter if I could get my bridge done. He said yes, asked for ID, I signed some papers, and sat down. Jen came out shortly and starred at me for a little while. I didn`t know what to do, so I just starred back. We went to her poking room, sat on the comfy table thing, and it took about 5 minutes to make the dots perfectly even. Mark took a before picture, and we were off. She put the clamps on, they hurt like a bitch, and I grabbed marks hand expecting the worst. I was disappointed. It actually didn`t hurt that much, but some people talk about how they started bleeding, and how there was so much pain. But no, none of that for me. What a waste.....kidding! Jeez! When I was done, I jumped up to the mirror and I absolutely loved it! It didn`t look anything like the pictures I had seem before, it looked so much better! The balls were a lot smaller and I could only see them if I looked to the side. They were like two small dots on the top of my nose and I couldn`t be happier with it. It was my first real facial peircing, and I plan on keeping it for a long time. I had to sit down on account of my body failing me when I need it most. After some chit chat about different piercings and the computer game she was currently obsessed with (I can`t remember the name) We had to leave because we were on a tight schedule. We took a couple more pictures, Jen being the pokER, me being the pokEE. And went to Bayshore to get new shoes.
Upon returning, my dad came to pick me up with my brother in tag. My dad look at me and cringed as I retold every gruesome detail, occasionally playing things way out of proportion, just to see him grossed out. But then I got home I realized that I wasn`t listening when she told me how to clean it. So I phoned Mark, thankfully he remembered. I put on my glasses and noticed that they didn`t hide the piercing at all. Crap! Now what was I going to do when family came over? But I did notice that they actually made my glasses look better on me. My bridge kept getting better and better! Of course, everytime I looked at it, I thought is was infected because the blue still hadn`t worn off from the marking process.
So for anyone out there who is even thinking of getting a bridge done. DO IT! It barley hurts and even if other people say it`s ugly and gross, it`s really not, they`ll get used to it right away.
