Around Christmas time, my friend got her nose done, and I added that I wanted to get my eyebrow done, just off the top of my head. I had been obsessed with getting my bellybutton done, but seeing how I'm short and bound to grow, places wouldn't do me because I would get stretch marks.I went with my friend while she got her nose done, and it was done in seconds. She said she only felt pain for one second, and we were in and out in minutes. I asked the place what their age limit for eyebrow was, and they said they wouldn't do anything on anyone unless they were atleast 15. I then realized that I was going to do some looking arund if I wanted my eyebrow done. I quickly became obsessed with getting my eyebrow done, just in a matter of two days.

I had the money, and even though my mom wasn't thrilled with the idea, she said I could get it. She was awesome when it came to calling up good places, looking for a place that would do a 14 year old.(It was still december of 04). I went out to dinner one day though, and saw a woman with her labret done with a diamond stud. WOW, did it ever look gorgeous. I then shifted from eyebrow to labret, and was totally jazzed about it. We finally found a place that said that they would check me out if I came down. They said that seeing that my face wouldn't grow, they would do my labret.

I was so extatic, but as I was filling out the sheets, the man said that since I had braces, I couldn't get it done. I was devestated, but I came in for a piercing, and I sure as hell was leaving with one. My mom said I could either get my eyebrow, or my nose done. I didn't want my nose down(I don't have a cute nose..I think), and so I decided on my eyebrow..maybe it was destiny?

The piercer came out, and to this day I think he's the hottest guy I've ever seen! Now to the actual piercing part! First, they had to clench my eyebrow, which takes about 30 seconds. I don't give a crap what anyone tells you, I thought the clench hurt like a mofo. It's a tight, searing pain, that lasts for about 30 seconds.I asked if it was the most painful part of the piercing, and he said that many thought it was the most uncomfortable. My eyes started to water, but I wasn't going to cry. I clenched my sister's hand like crazy. Finally, I felt a quick, searing pain that done in one second, and I knew that was the needle. Putting the jewelry in didn't hurt though, but the other stuff did!

I looked in the mirror, and I loved it! The first words out of my mouth were "Oh, I like it." It's now become my pride and joy, no more bangs for me, I've gone through too much to hide it by hair. Some piercings take one second for the actual piercing to take place, but since the eyebrow takes 30 seconds, it's a little more painful. It didn't hurt after though, you don't even realize it's there. I took care of the thing so well, following the instructions to the dot, twice a day. Nothing ever bad happened, luckily. No rejection, no infection. WE got it checked a two weeks, and he said

it looked perfect. I find every opportunity to go back, just to see Eric.. However, I think I'm done with face piercings, having my eyebrow done is good enough. I absolutely love it, and it's my pride and joy! A month after, I got a purple barbel put in, and it looks so pretty. I got a spiral one a couple of months later, but kept it in merely a couple of weeks, seeing that I was fearful of it getting pulled out or caught on something, but I may put it back in sometime.

I'm really cocky about my eyebrow, I tell my family that I have the nicest one in school, and I honestly think I do. Most people's are just above and under the eyebrow, mine is diagonal and much deeper. You can only see the two balls of the barbell, and none of the actual bar. It's harder to find jewelry for it, but meh- I still love it. I love it sooo much, and I'm so happy that I got it!

If you're thinking about getting it done, the pain is worth it. However, you can't be stingy with taking care of it, an eyebrow infection is a nasty infection(I hear..it involves skin removal, I hear)
