Let me tell you about myself so you know how hard I had to work to get this beautiful piece of metal in my eyebrow. It didn't come easy, and I had to work really hard. Here's my story.

I am in 8th grade, and am currently taking Honors Algebra. I have never been very good at math in general, and this class has been a struggle for me. I started doing pretty poorly in the class. I was barely scraping by with a C. So, my mom told me that if I got a B on my report card that she would let me get my eyebrow pierced, which I had wanted to get for a long time. I had a long road ahead of me, but I really wanted my eyebrow pierced. So I worked very hard in algebra, and a couple tests came back with B's on them, and one even came back with a 98% A! There were also many hard times these past few months. I remember being really upset over a failed quiz or test, but my sadness only made me work harder to get the grade I wanted. I worked hard on projects and ended up with B's on both of them! I always paid attention in class, and turned in my homework the next day. I was destined to get my eyebrow pierced. I wanted it SO badly.

The other day I asked my teacher what my report card grade was and he said a B. I was really excited, and so today (just a couple hours ago), me and my whole family went to Purgatory Tattoo Studio to get my eyebrow pierced. I couldn't believe it. The day had finally come!

As we pulled up to the studio, I got nervous, REALLY nervous. I calmed myself by looking at all the kick ass jewelry they had. They had really awesome eyebrow rings, and their nose studs were cool too. My dad started flipping through the photo album, looking at pictures of different piercings. This freaked me out, so I kept looking at the jewelry. When the lady asked me which barbell I wanted, I chose a 14 gauge barbell, with two silver balls on the ends. I didn't want anything too fancy. When my mom had finished paying for everything, the woman took me into one of the piercing rooms. By the way, I had already gotten my belly button pierced at this same studio, by this same woman. So, when I got into the room, the woman got out my barbell and the needle out of a sterilized package, and proceeded to tell me what was going on. She cleaned the area, marked the spots on my eyebrow, and told me to look in the mirror to see if I liked it. It was perfect! Then she told me to lie down. She put the clamps on my eyebrow, and told me to take a deep breath in, and when she told me to exhale, she pierced me. Now, all I have to say is, I felt like a complete wuss, because it didn't hurt at all. I was freaking out over NOTHING! All I felt was a burning sensation, which wasn't bad. It hurt way less than getting my belly button done. The whole process was over really quickly, and when the piercer told me she was done, I immediately told her thanks and rushed to the mirror, I fell in love, and knew that this was going to be an awesome piercing. I ran out of the room like a little kiddy at Christmas, to show my parents and 2 sisters who were playing foosball. Hehe. They liked it too, and took pictures. :)

This was an awesome experience. Now as I look in the mirror, I see a piece of metal in my eyebrow that reminds me that even though I may not be very good at something, I can always achieve it if it put my mind to it. I am glad my mom set this rule, because it made me realize I can excel in anything I want to, even if it is hard.

I totally recommend this piercing to anyone who desires it. I didn't think it hurt at all, however pain is relative. I assure you, that it won't be nearly as terrible as you think. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at sugar_n_spice1614@yahoo.com Also, think about setting a goal for yourself to achieve, and if you succeed, reward yourself with an eyebrow piercing. It really does make you work harder. When it's all over and you have your piercing, you will be proud of yourself. I know I am proud of myself right now.

Happy Piercing and Good Luck!
