Here is a story of my third body piercing, my eyebrow.

I love them, I simply do! Well it was about 7th grade, when I became interested in other body piercings. The ones I was most interested in, were the eyebrow, and lip. I would never dream of getting my lip done because of all the instruments I play, im a major musician. But for 3 years, I waited, until the day I felt I should get an eyebrow piercing.
I never asked my mom then though, I knew she would say yes, but I personally felt it would be a bad time to ask. But I thought the eyebrow piercing was right for me. I thought it would totally fit my style, and that it would look great on me! But one thing kind of lingered with me... pain. I'm a major needle wimp. When I was in 3rd grade, I was getting a Hepetitus B shot, and the needle broke in my arm and they had to like, stick tweezers in my skin to get it out. Since then I have had a chronic fear of needles.
So here in my sophomore year of HS, I decided to ask my mom (about 3 weeks ago), if I could get my eyebrow pierced. She said she didn't mind, she's very open and respects people's choices and she thought it would look good too! Though, she wanted the whole story as to why, and she said sure, and that once I get the money I could get it done. Well 1 week after that I got my paycheck! I am a local hip-hop dance teacher and I get paid about $200 a month. I had the $55 to get it done, so I called "Accent Tattoo & Body Piercing" and made an appointment. Accent Tattoo is a very professional, and well-known Tattoo and piercing place in Ukiah.
Today, February 8th 2005, it was time for me to get my eyebrow done. My friend Amy, Matt, and Kyle wanted to watch too so they came. I was sitting in the waiting room, filling out the underage stuff I needed to, showed them my ID, and it was back to the piercing room I went. He had me sit on a chair, there was no dentist chair as I was in the piercing room, not the tattoo room. And he asked me which side. I chose the right. He said okay, and that I needed to look straight at him. He cleaned the area really well for about 1 minute, then wiped the cleaner away. He then got some blue ink, and a little toothpick like thing, examined my brow structure, and put 2 dots where he though it should be placed. Then, he asked me to look into the mirror and see what I thought. I thought it was a very good place. So he then had me lay down on an examining table. He got the clamps out, I expected them to hurt. But they didn't! They had a really soft, firm thing on the end, almost like cork. He was positioning them on my eyebrow. Then took them off, and started to message my eyebrow. Adam said it was to relax my eyebrow. He then said I needed to start taking big deep breaths in my nose, and out my mouth, fully. He asked me to close my eyes, keep them closed, then he clamped my eyebrow (totally painless, and I'm a huge pain wimp!) Then after about 3 deep breaths, the needle went in. I felt the needle go in, but wait, this is strange, no pain! Wow!! I felt him put the jewelry in too, as it was almost attached to the needle. He put it on, wipe my cheek as he poked me there by accident, then told me it was all done and that it looked great, I agreed!
So I went home, got home 30 minutes ago, as a VERY happy teen boy, with a VERY beautiful piercing that I just can't wait to show off tomorrow at school! Here's some advice for you people looking to get it pierced...
PAIN: There is NO pain at all. So long as you get it done at a good place, there should be no pain. The clamps don't hurt. the needle doesn't hurt, there's a bit of pressure after it's done, but that's it! Your piercer/artist will go over care facts with you and everything. For a more beginner, or even advanced, piercing that goes a step after the ears, I greatly recommend the eyebrow! I love mine, it's awesome, I bet you'll totally love yours too! Thank you for reading my story :)
