I'm 16 and from England. I already had 9 ear piercings, and a nose piercing, all self done. I had wanted my eyebrow pierced for about 4 years, Mum always said it would suit me, so getting permission wasn't a problem. I was just SO scared of needles. I'd been having trouble with my teeth recently, and had to have of injections when I went to the dentists, so I was getting better with needles. Mum had promised me she'd give me the money to get my lip pierced when I'd had all my work done at the dentists, cause I had also wanted that piercing for about 4 years.

Me and my friend Ella went into town, and met Jonny there. I was determined to get my eyebrow pierced that day, my ex hated piercings, so I suppose I was kinda doing it to piss him off. We headed off to Pulse, I've always liked it in there. The staff are really friendly and always willing to talk to you about piercings, tattoo's, whatever.
We got to Pulse and we looked around at the jewellery for abit first, it all looked so cool in these big glass cabinets. I went over to the desk and started talking to the guy who was there. He was so cute! Spikey dark hair, dressed in all black, silver contacts in, and his lip pierced! I noticed that Ella thought he was nice too, she had that look on her face, if he'd tried talking to her, I think she'd just giggle n stutter like a fool ha!
I told him that I wanted my eyebrow pierced, and told him I'm scared of needles, so he talked with me about it for a while, and showed me the jewellery I could have. I told him I was deffinately gonna have it pierced, but was just scared. So he told me to go away for a bit, have something to eat and think about it. Me, Ella and Jonny left the shop and walked around for a while. We had to go off and leave Jonny though :( cause me and Ella had to meet someone, we never did find them in the end so I called my Mum and told her to ring me back in about an hour, when I would be back at Pulse.
I had something to eat, and walked back to Pulse, I saw the guy again, and told him I was just waiting for my Mum to call, so she could tell him I was 16 and had permission to get my eyebrow piercing. She called and he talked to her, that was it, I was actually gonna get it done!
I filled out the forms and the guy signed them too, I found out his name is Tomm! I picked out a 1.2 mm (16 gauge I think!) blue bar, it's really cute. Me and Ella went upstairs to the little piercing cubicles, I sat down on the bed, looked like the kind of thing you'd find at the doctors! The room was tiny, but I still managed to squeeze Ella in too! I wanted her to be there, so I didnt chicken out, I'm such a baby! She stood at the end of the bed and Tomm got all his things ready. He said I had to check that the needle was brand new, and all sealed in a package, I was too nervous, so Ella checked it for me. He cleaned my eyebrow and marked it, I got him to change it a couple times, and then it was perfect. He didn't use clamps, which I was glad about, I can't remember if he did anything else, I was too busy trying to stay calm. I told him I didn't want to know anything about the needle, and to just do it. I felt the needle touch my eyebrow, and was shocked that I didn't feel scared anymore! The needle went through, and I can honestly say it didn't hurt that bad. Just a sharp pain for less than a second, Ella said I didn't even flinch. After he'd put the bar in, it started to bleed...alot. I felt fine though, was laughing with Ella. Tomm kept saying sorry, and how he hates it when that happens. I tried telling him it was fine, but he still kept saying sorry, he was really so cute. I don't mind blood, so I never made a fuss! He cleaned me up and I was on my way. I felt a little dizzy when I stood up, but just walked it off. I was so happy I'd got it done, every second I'd look in shop windows, just to see my reflection!
When I got out of town, I showed my Sisters, Mum, Auntie, Cousins, they all liked it. The only person who doesn't like it, is Dad, he doesn't mind me having piercings, he just doesnt see the point, silly man, ha! I phoned my boyfriend that night, and I was like hey! guess what I've just done, he sed "I don't really care!"..so yeah, I was even more pissed at him, he called me back later and I told him, he wasn't happy, he thought it was "ming" as he put it, but I didn't really care. I loved it and that's all that mattered. We broke up a couple weeks later, and as soon as I had the chance, I went out and got my lip pierced! (I'll write about that soon! Cause he didn't want me to, and I'm planning to get my tounge pierced too. But anyway back to my eyebrow..
Aftercare has been easy, wash it in the shower with water in the morning, and clean it with the solution Tomm gave me 3 times a day. I've knocked it a couple times, but nothing too bad. And yeah, having pillow fights, with 4 year old little cousins isn't a good idea! I found out the hard way, he got me right in the face. Had to stop myself from swearing infront of him LOL but was okay after a few seconds.
To anyone who wants this piercing, but is afraid of the pain, all I have to say is..what pain?!?! It feels uncomfortable for a second or two but that's it. So go for it! I'm fine with needles now :) so I'm gonna get many more piercings! I'm just lucky that my Mum is cool about this kind of thing, and is willing to give me permission hehe.
