Well to start you off my name is Holly. I have wanted an eyebrow piercing for a while but my parents aren't really the type of people to have piercings besides your ears, and if your skinny they agreed on the belly button ring. I've asked my dad before if I could have my tongue pierced, and that was out of the question. Then one day I asked my lovely mother can I have my eyebrow pierced. Of course she also said no. So I just dropped it. As the days went on I had seen my friend Amanda have a new eyebrow piercing and then I just couldn't help asking my mom one last time. So I went in her bedroom and sat on her bed and said "Mom can I please get my eyebrow pierced" she said sure why not? I almost fainted I would've never guessed she give in without a fight. I thought maybe she's high? hah or maybe she's drunk. But she actually said yes. So of course there was a little catch. I had to clean the house and wait over the weekend to get it done on Monday when she got paid.

Like most people I was pretty excited. I had to go through the weekend before I could get it done, so I sucked up and clean the house more then just what I was told to do as an extra bonus to make sure she didn't change her mind. She didn't change her mind ...

Finally Monday had came around even though I had to wait til I got out of school in order to get it done, cause I wasn't allowed to miss school. So the long day of school pasted and me and my friend Molly had came over to my house. We waited for my mom to come home from my grandparents. Well while we were waiting, I called a few places cause I had no idea where I was going. So I called a few and they said you had to be 16!!! I was like darn!! What do I do? So finally my mom got home, as I was nervous to have her take me to the first place we went to and they say I couldn't get it done. Well me not knowing Molly knew a guy named Stan at this place on a street by my house. He said he would do it. I needed my moms license a picture Id of me and a birth certificate. I had all but a stupid picture Id. So I had to go home, which my mom was mad and get a old year book gay huh? Well I went back and went to the counter to talk to the guy and tell him I was just here to get my eyebrow done by Stan. He handed me the papers, and asked me to fill them out.

Well I filled out the papers as he had told me. He took the picture Id of my mother and mine, and when he came back out he told me to go in his little booth thing. Which I followed and sat down. Nervous as heck. I held Molly's hand. He marked it I looked in the mirror and agreed on the placement that he had did. He cleaned my eyebrow, clamped it, and said "Take a deep breath" now exhale. Wow it didn't even hurt. Well there was a little pinch as he put the jewelry on,which was a little ring thing, and when he put the ball on it was a little painful, and I'm the cry baby on pain here. Well he said do you like it? I said of course I do. The reason he put a ring in he said it's cause theres a better chance of getting a infection cause you can't clean it as well as you can a barbell cause you can rotate the ring as a barbell only up and down. Which I wish I would've got a barbell and took that chance, cause I think it would've been cuter. Yet I still love this one.

So I paid him 35$ and of course gave him a tip, which everyone should do if it turns out the way you wanted it. Then left excited as I ever could be. As of today I still like it, and still waiting to change it to some colorful barbell or what not. He said you have to wait at least a month or two, before changing it. He told me to clean it 3 times a day with just regular dial anti-bacteria soap. Nothing special, but I use bactine spray afterwards. It speeds up the healing process or whatever.

If your debating on getting this piercing done, I recommend it. It's nice looking, and not that painful. I suggest you get it professionally done though. You don't want to put yourself at risk of getting an infection or even doing it wrong then having holes you don't want. Don't let a friend do it either. Make sure your parents agree on it as well. Hope you liked reading my experience.
