I wanted a piercing for years and years and never had the courage and the information to go get one done. One day I was at my boyfriend's house and I was feeling really depressed because I felt like I was unable to get over my fears. My fear wasn't the piercing itself but mostly the talking to the piercer that goes with it (I know I am weird). Than, my boyfriend who knows me better than anyone knew that I really wanted that piercing so he said : ok I'll go with you to the piercing parlour. Unfortunately I was to late in the afternoon and I wasn't sure of the subway station I had to go to. So that night I called a friend of mine who has 22 piercings and talked a bit about where to go and what to expect from this piercer.

After a good night of sleep, we left the house, went to Subway (the food) so I won't pass out because of a lack of sugar and went to the train station. I was incredibly nervous, I was almost unbelievable! I kept saying that I was going to throw up. It never happened but I was very anxious at that time! Finally, the train arrived. We got in, went took the subway and finally arrived on the right street. I was walking to go the parlour as I met one of my teachers whose girlfriend got tattooed at the same place I was supposed to get pierce. We chat a little and than I walked in front of the shop and took a very quick look inside and did not enter the shop. I still don't know why. But I came back and entered the parlour.

I was rather clean, and there was this guy listening to Korn very loudly!!! I approached and told him that I would like to have the eyebrow pierced. I chose the eyebrow because my boyfriend was paying and he would not let me pierce anything else... Anyway I loved how it looked on other people so it didn't bother me that much. The so called Korn fan could not hear me because of the way too loud music. So once again I screamed that I would like an eyebrow piercing. He yelled at a girl who came and once again I screamed that I want an eyebrow piercing. She yelled at another guy who finally became my piercer... He asked what I want about my jewellery and showed me my options. I chose a surgical steel curved spiked barbell... A very small one because of my small face! He washed his hands many times. He prepared his needle. He washed the jewel and did other things that I did not fully understood. I was very glad that my boyfriend allowed me to have a piercing. He isn't into body modification since he left his teen years behind. Even though he is a goth guy.

The piercer told me to lay on the "medical bed or table". He put the clamps on and than said that I should take a deep breath. He pushed the needle through my eyebrow. In a way it hurt but in another it felt so good! This is so dangerous for addiction! Seriously I can't wait to have another one done. My eyebrow bled a lot which is very uncommon so he asked me if I was drunk last night or in the morning or If I had taken any X-tasy. We found out later that it was my medication that created the bleeding! So he was done with the piercing now he had to put the jewel

I heard a "f*ck" and a "sh*t" and start worrying a lot. I turned out that he slipped the jewellery in and that my lower spike fell in my eye. I was very unpleasant I can guarantee you! He manages to take it out put it where it belongs. It was awesome! even if I had blood on my eyebrow. It was very swollen. The piercier than had a speech about aftercare which didn't last long. I was very pleased with this piercer since he was kind not talkative. It is perfect for anyone who is very well informed like me. I've read so many articles so I know a lot about every kind of piercing.

Some people find it awesome other says that from now on I am a disgusting human being. I knew that piercing are shocking for some people and that is one of its inevitable consequences. If you don't like getting weird looks well sorry but pierce your ear lobes! Being a Goth Girl since age 10, I was use to the weird look thing. Some of my non-goth friends were surprised at first but now are totally use to it. Love yourself and be confident! And of course love that new hole!

There is one thing I should suggest to everyone before getting a piercing, be sure that you know nearly as much as the piercier about the piercing you are getting done! This will avoid a lot of problems!!!
