It all started when I was 12 years old. Whenever I looked at someone with an eyebrow ring, it reminded me that I didn't have one. So I decided to ask my mom if I could get one. And of course, she said no. Who could blame her, I was 12! But she promised me that:" On you're 14th birthday, I'll let you get your eyebrow pierced as a birthday present." But for me,that was to long away. But I decided to get off her back and try when I was 13.

Even though I shouldn't of, I begged. But she wouldn't give in.But then I finally said:"Please mom I'll take good care of it . And I'll pay for it." Yep, that seemed to do the trick(the whole I'll take good care of it, of course :P).She said I could get it in September. That was to long away for me(it was June at the time).I kept nagging and pleading for her to allow me to get it done sooner. Then one greatfull night, she said yes!Thank gods!I thought she would never let me get it sooner! She said I could get it on the weekend(Saturday). But it was only Monday. I was a nervous wreck. Not that I was nervous about the pain or anything, I was just really excited to get it done. You should have seen me in school. I couldn't even hold my pencil still. Then like any teenager I started to brag( I really regret this now, I sounded like an asshole!I was all like yeah thats right, I'm getting my eyebrow done.).One of my teachers asked me how the procedure was done(Mr.Silvia, you rock!).I told him that they clean off the area.Mark the spot.Put the jewerly into a hollow needle.Clamp the skin. Then put the needle threw my my skin then pull it back out fast, leaving the jewerly in my skin(Thats the best way I could describe it).
Finally, it was Saturday and my mom just made an appointment to Sin on Skin. She was really happy that the guy on the phone said that the piercing wasn't something that I couldn't reverse. And in case you didn't know, If you take it out,it will heal over time(duh!).Since the appointment was only in about 30 minutes or so, I talked her in to going early. We finally got there and I wasn't really that nervous. The place seemed to calm me down. Then they had my mom and I sign some papers and stuff. She had me pick out a barbell from the big case they had.It didn't take that long to decide. As soon as I saw that spiked barbell, it had to be mine. And just to let you know I didn't get it because Amy Lee had one. It's more of a symbolic meaning(anyone that knows me might have an idea). And since the place was empty(lucky me)they could take me in a few minutes early. They had my mom and I walk into a small room and had me take a seat. The one thing that was really cool was that a girl(in the next room over) was getting a back piece done. I could hear the needle go "Bzzzz..." It sounded really cool. And didn't make me nervous one bit.Anyway, the girl took out the needle from it's package. She cleaned my eyebrow and marked the spot . Then asked me if the spot was ok, and of corse, I said yes. Then she took out the barbell from it's package. She put the barbell into the hollow needle and clamped my skin. One, two, three...all done(well except that she had to screw on the bottom, which she had a hard time finding.Who could blame her? Those things are tiny!)! I didn't feel it one bit!It hurts more to get your ears pierced(which by the way I have both of my ears pierced three times and hope to get more in the future).
It's been three and a half months since I got my left eyebrow done. And in a few weeks I plan to get a new barbell just before school starts up again. And now, I started to gauge my ears. But the bad thing about it is,as soon as I stared to do it,the next day everybody started to gauge there ears. But I'm not going to continue to do it because everyone else is. I'm going to continue it as a way of self expression(and plus I really like how it looks). My goal right now is a 4 or 2 gauge( a 00 when I'm older).
Sorry for the rambling. But anyway, thats my experience. And I hoped you liked reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
