Well it all started about a month before my birthday...I had this idea to get an eyebrow piercing. I thought about the piercing all the time. However I was 14 and not turning 15 till the day after a trip I was about to go on. The whole time between then I planned out where exactly I should put it, tried to imagine how much it would hurt then went to my mother to see what her thoughts were. Right away it was "NO, never". Having two sisters both at one time had or currently have piercing or tattoos this hardly seemed reasonable to me. Well I continued to ask my mum saying that if she didn't let me I'd find a way to get it, even if it were sketchy where I went. In the end my mother gave in and in a weeks time I had the place I wanted to go "Way Cool Tattoo Uptown".

So off we drove to "Way Cool Tattoo Uptown" in Toronto. My mother, sister and I all pulled up in front of the place with nerves going wild. The windows of the place are covered in a dark cloth so you can't see inside from outside. Having seen pictures of the studio on the computer I figured I'd be used to it when I walked in. This however was not true the second I opened the door I was hit by a very bright blue and loud music. Which mixed with nerves made it harder to keep an "I'm going to do this no matter what, I'm not nervous" look on my face. I walked up to the girl at the counter (who herself had tons of piercing everywhere) told her I wanted a barbell eyebrow piercing, gave her my mother and my I.D. and tried to act calm while watching two people getting Tattoos done.

My mother and I signed away my life, and were soon prompted to go down the steps to where the piercing would be done. My sister was to told to stay upstairs, she could not come along. We walked down these steps and met a blonde haired lady with a couple tattoos. She sat me down and told me all about how to clean the piercing, thankfully they give you a sheet because at the time my mind was not really concentrated on what she was talking about and more on what was about to happen. So she led my mother and me into a room. Renee cleaned my eyebrow, drew on the lines, told me to go check it out in the mirror and tell her whether I wanted it moved or not. It was perfect however, so I went back and sat down. She measured the two dots again with a little measuring instrument. She told me to lean back close my eyes in order to not hit me or startle me.

Being scared I grabbed my mother hand squeezing before anything had even happened. Renee explained each step she took. "This is the clip" she said, as I loosened my grip on my mum's hand. "You'll feel the tip of the needle" she said I grabbed my mother's hand tighter again "and this is it going through". I loosened my hand again. I have to tell you everyone says they don't feel anything. It's just about true; I just felt a small pinch, hardly anything. Then I just had a weird feeling having a piece of metal in my eyebrow. I started to laugh, it was nothing then I had expected. I was figuring awful terrible pain. It was nothing. Anyways so the jewelry went on the back of the pin. The pin was pulled through with the barbell and the bead was screwed on. I jumped up my eyebrow was a tad red. I left laughing, my sister loved it, and my mother was going to be sick plus she hated it. However I went out bought sea salt to clean it. My piercing was red for maybe 2 hours, that's about it. No bruising, it has all been about perfect. Everyone I know tells me how much they love it.

It's been a week today and my piercing is fine, no bruises, no pain, it is perfectly fine. However I find if I knock the piercing too much, or touch it a lot when cleaning I tend to get rather tired. Maybe that's just me but in the beginning I would get tired with just a little bit of touching; now I'm fine with any touching of it though. The piercing is great and the place "Way Cool Tattoo Uptown" was awesome. So I strongly suggest them they did and awesome job and Renee was really good. I felt so comfortable with her. So thumbs up to them and to getting an eyebrow piercing. Plus anyone who's 15 and trying to get their piercing, don't give up on your parents they might just pull through.
