Piercings have always been something that interest me. My cousin had his tongue pierced, my mother and sister have their navels pierced, so I have pretty much been around the idea for a while. I was always told that if I wanted my navel pierced when I turn 16 I can. I do not think it would suit me well. I want piercings that I can show off and I would not want to show my navel off. The idea of waiting until 16 bothered me, too.At first, I wanted my tongue pierced, but no one in my family would approve of it. So, I got used to it and decided I wanted my nose pierced. I live with my grandmother and she approved of it. I soon had to change my mind again, because my mom said she would not sign for a nose piercing. I also had the whole 16 problem that I could not seem to get past for a while.

So I decided I wanted my eyebrow pierced and told my mom and she said she would sign for it. So, I went on vacation soon after I asked her and while I was gone I asked my grandmother and she said I could. I was jumping for joy.

I talked everyone into letting me get it for my 15th birthday. My mom decided that she would take me on July 3rd, exactly one month before I turn 15 because school starts back a little over a week after my birthday and I wanted it to have a better chance to heal because facial piercings are not allowed at my school. We had to wait on my sister and her husband to take us to Bohemian Rhapsody because my mom did not know where it was. So, they finally got to my house around five or six o'clock that night. I got my birth certificate and everything else I needed around and we left.

We got to Bohemian Rhapsody and we had to wait for a while because the girl behind the counter was dealing with another customer. So, when she was done I walked up there and told her I wanted my eyebrow pierced and showed her my birth certificate and form of ID. She had to find the guy who would be doing the piercing to make sure that he could do the piercing since I am only 14. So, I looked around for a while and he came out and told me that he could do it. Mom signed the papers and I was ready to go.

He went in the back to set everything up. My mom said, "It's too late to back out now, I have already paid and everything." I assured her that this was something I was not going to back out of. So, the guy came back out and said everything was ready and I could go back there. My mom and sister both wanted to go too and I told them I didn't care if someone went back there or not. My mom ended up going back with me.

So, I went back in the room and sat down in the chair and talked with my mom and the piercer. So, while he was getting his gloves on and opening the needles and everything I told him how my sister tried to get me to pierce my nose instead and how she had told me it would not hurt as much as my eyebrow would and how I told her she was crazy. We all had a good laugh.

He was then ready to go through with the piercing. He marked two spots on my left eyebrow to show where he could pierce it. I got up to look. I picked the bottom marks and sat back down. He then cleaned my eyebrow and told me to close my eyes.

He put the clamps on and it was more painful than the actual piercing was considering he was a perfectionist and wanted it to be straight and everything, which I am grateful for. So, he finally got the clamps right and told me he was going to put the needle through. He told me to breathe when he said to.

Before I knew it the needle was through and he put the barbell in. I went and looked in the mirror and was completely satisfied with the outcome. Everyone I am close to loves the way it looks and they all say it fits me. It is almost like I was born to get my eyebrow pierced. I know this will not be the last piercing I get. If you want to get your eyebrow pierced I would say go for it! I would recommend Bohemian Rhapsody to anyone who lives in the Birmingham area.
