Well, I had been lusting for a new piercing for awhile. My ears were all stocked with Captive Bead Rings and since the almighty holiday Christmas was near, I begged my mother for an Eyebrow Piercing. After numerous attempts of persistent pleading and pestering she gave in and obliged, a few days later we went down to Ritualistics (Piercing/Tattoo Studio) the atmosphere was absolutely awesome, it is an EXTREMELY clean Studio with kick-ass Employees. I went up to the counter and said to the blue haired guy that was sitting behind it that I would like to get a piercing, he looked at me for few seconds and asked me what kind of piercing, I then told him an Eyebrow piercing, he then said

He told me to fill them out and to bring them back up to him when I was done, I picked them up from the glass plated counter that displayed different sorts of Body Jewelry and plopped down on the couch next to my mum. After filling the forms out and bringing them up to the counter we waited for some time (since I was a walk in and didn't make an appointment) Noni was then ready to see me.
'Remember Dani I'm not going in there with you' my mother said while she looked up from the aftercare sheet that the guy from the counter had given us
'Yeah' I muttered as I followed Noni to a back room. Noni then started telling me about how to take care of my Piercing afterwards and what to expect she also said that they would supply me with a baggie of sea salt and a squirt bottle to soak my Eyebrow after it was pierced I absent-mindedly nodded as I stared at the array of needles and clamps on the counter. After she had made sure that I understood everything, she told me to sit on the bed as she readied the piercing supplies and anti-septic, I did while looking around the room and twiddling my thumbs together, the snap of her putting on rubber gloves made my heart beat a little harder with anticipation. She came toward me with a black sharpie marker and made two little dots where the needle would be inserted, Noni gave me a mirror to see if that was a good placement, I nodded approvingly as I handed the mirror back to her, she rubbed a cotton ball that had been soaked in anti-septic over the piercing site Once I had go tten a glimpse of the tray and the 14 Gauge needle, the butterflies and stomach knots kicked in. My hands started to get a little clammy as she told me to lie down, I then told myself I could handle it and let out a breath. Noni asked what I was getting this as and I told her it was a Christmas Gift, she then said
'Oh that's good, parents usually bring their kids in to get Piercings' I smiled and giddily giggled as I saw her hand reach for the needle. She told me to take in a deep breath and exhale as she counted to three and said I could close my eyes if I wanted to, so of course I did haha.
'1...2...3...' with my heart nearly in my throat I felt the needle push through the top of my Eyebrow it was taking her a few moments so I wondered if it was done yet, she then said
'I might have you to get you glasses off' so I took them off and she placed them on the tray, Noni then continued to push the needle through the rest of my Eyebrow, it stung a bit but I ignored it while I calmly stared at the ceiling, I then felt a light tug as she inserted the 14 Gauge barbell and screwed on the end.
'Ok, you can sit up now, take a look in this mirror and tell me what you think.' Noni said as she handed me a handled mirror, I meekly took it and looked at the steel barbell that was through my slightly throbbing and tender Eyebrow
'Wow, I like it' I whispered as I turned my head from side to side, it looked like it was made for me
'It looks good on you.' She smiled as she led me out of the back room and out to the front, I came out grinning.
'So how did it go?' my mum asked as she stood up from the couch in the waiting area
'Good.' I beamed, we walked over to the counter and paid a total of $80, it was DEFINITELY well worth it! If you're thinking of getting an Eyebrow Piercing, go for it! And remember, no touchy touchy.
