I had wanted my anti eyebrows done for about roughly two months now and had always looked around anywhere I ever went to see if any piercer I trusted enough had done it, done it well and wasn't charging fifty pounds to do just one side.

I began to give up hope until I found my regular piercer who I asked one day when I was on my usual routine piercing spree and he said that since I'd be his first customer who he was going to perform this on he'd do it cheap for me but first he wanted to research it. I totally understood and respected this and let him research it in his own merry time and rang up around three weeks later and asked if he was up for doing them yet and if he'd be in on Saturday. He said yes to both so I said I'd be in, ready for them.

Saturday

I got into the city at about 1 and as it is my usual custom, I went straight for the piercings! I got into The Studio and spoke to Leon who agreed and confirmed the price to his boss. Only ten pounds for each one! Bargain! So we went into the back and discussed the usual things and niceties about how busy the place was, our daughters then we sorted out the piercings. The first priority was jewellry and then rejection rates, which was and still is my main concern, because out of all my piercings I knew that these were going to be my 'favorites'. I personally didn't have a clue as to what jewellry would be best and no body I've ever asked has given me a definate reply. I was expecting him to use PTFE because he doesn't have surface bars and he normally bends PTFE to the desired shape for surface piercings BUT he said about some curved metal bars and gave me the option of a 1.6mm or 1.2mm. Now, I already have my left eyebrow twice at 1.2mm bars and having 1 anti eyebrow at each side of my face was a big thing to me so I debated and decided on the 1.6mm curved bars. They actually look like micro bananabars when I think about it now. If anyone has any idea about the best material for these tempramental piercings please IM me or email me.

He then started to mark me up and after about 3 attempts of me saying 'no, its not quite right' and, 'a bit more of an angle' we were ready to get piercing.

He told me that he couldn't use any anesthetic which was no big deal because I didn't really want it anyway so he put on gloves, got out the needles, cleaned the jewellry and I sat down. All seemed good so far and I was confident that all would be well and good; it always was. he got the first needle out and told me to close my eyes which I did. I felt the needle prick my skin and carry on smoothly through until it exited. I didn't flinch but I felt as though the end of the needle was resting on my eyelid. it wasn't, I was just being over sensitive. The jewellry went through effortlessly and I opened my eye and looked in the mirror. I smiled and Leon looked pretty proud that I was so impressed. We always talk all the way through the procedure, that way I never even notice that I'm being pierced and so that we have always maintained a good piercer- client relationship, in other words he does my work cheap for being a 'regular' and I'm his guinea pig. He said that I' d be good to practice on because I dont flinch and I am also veinless, he has never found a vein in my entire body and he's done most of my piercings for me. The second followed the exact same pattern as the first, needle through and jewellry inserted and I looked in the mirror and was happy.

Leon was happy too. He even said since they looked so good that he may get them done. I think I'm going to ring him on Monday and see if he has and to thank him for the job again. The aftercare seems to be doing the job an all seems to be well on day two. I really don't want them to reject, I'm trying to be optimistic because my eyebrows have been in the exact same place for four years and I know it is like an 'upside down' version and the curvature and strain is not the same but I am hopeful.

I have read others' experiences on them and I am one hundred percent commited to 'babying them' which I am doing at the moment. The only thing I regret is positioning them so vertically and not as horizontally as is seen normal of these piercings. I was right and it is my favourite piercing. I'm still getting used to seeing them there on my face but I really do love them already.
