Hey everyone!

I was looking at some other experiences and what not and figured I would add mine too. Well, to start with, I was 15 when I got my eye brow pierced. The only other piercing I had was my nose which I have had to get re-done numerous times for various reason. Anyway, I had wanted to get my tongue pierced for a long time and my dear old mother wasnt too keen on that idea. (I now have my tongue done anyway hehe, that story is on this site too) So she cut me a deal and told me she would pay for my eye brow as long as I dropped the idea of my tongue. So I went for it. I didnt even really want my eye brow pierced at the time and had never really even thought about it. So yeah, once she mentioned that too me I was all for it. Only at the time I was like 7 or 8 months pregnant and any good place won't pierce you while your pregnant. So I waited untill after my son was born in may.
Then once July rolled around I was set. My mom and a few friends of mine went into West Ed. Mall and saw a movie and once I decided I was ready we went on over to Dragon Fx. That was my first time being there and I had very little knowledge about piercing and anything involved in the process. But it looked like a good place to me. Now I swear by that place and recomend it to everyone. Anywhoo, my friends were looking over some pictures with tattoo's and other piercings, and my mom and I were busy filling out stuff and showing our i.d and what not. Being I was only 15 my mom had to sign for me and all that good stuff. I was pretty nervouse before we got there, but once we were in the waiting area I was doing alright. I sat down and filled out my waiver forms and read over the aftercare instructions and filled out the little quiz thingy they give you to make sure you read everything over and understood it all.
So there I was, waiting to hear my name being called. I waited maybe 10 minutes or so then a girl came out and took me into one of the rooms. As soon as I heard my name the nerves came back big time. But she was really nice and talked to me about all kinds of things. She asked me where I was from and if I was in school and I told her I had just broke up with my bf and I had his baby and she made a comment about guys being jerks wich made me laugh and seemed to ease the nervousness. I was sitting on the little table thingy while she got everything out and ready. Now since this happend almost 2 years ago, I dont really remember all the small details, just that next thing I knew I was getting a needled stabbed through my face lol. I was ready for it to be the most painful thing ever and I was shocked when it hardley felt a thing.
I remeber before hand when I asked if it hurt lots, she had asked me if I ever plucked my eye brows and I said yea. Thats when she told me it wouldnt hurt anymore then that. And she was right. So yeah, skip ahead a bit. It was pretty painless and it got a little bit bruised and looked kinda purple for a few days but it was all good. So..a month later once it was finally getting all nice and healed and after I followed my after care instructions religiously, I lost the bottom ball for the bar bell. I tried to tape the bar bell to my face when I went to bed so it didnt fall out lol. Unfortunately, when I woke up, it was out and had already grown in. *Sigh* I never did have any problems with it at all and I really miss it. I'm going to go back in and get it re-done soon I think just as soon as I get the money.
But yeah, that was my experience or what I remeber of it. I'm also curently looking up info about getting my labaret done, but Im still weighing out the positives and negatives of that one. But, just remember, to follow your aftercare properly, DONT OVER CLEAN IT, and check into the place your getting pierced. If the place looks shifty to you, go some place else. And if your ever in West Ed. Mall and wanting a piercing or tattoo, stop into Dragon Fx (780-444-0400). Happy piercings everyone!
