I kept on seeing this piercing in magazines and all I knew was I really wanted it. The fact that it was in the middle of my head intimidated me a bit. A few friends told me to go for it but, for some reason I was really nervous. I would catch myself looking all around for this particular piercing so that I could approach someone to get all the details that I was unaware of. I found myself drooling over the pictures I would see of this particular piercing. Some people told me that it would make me go cross eyed in time which so far had been proven false. I can hardly even see the piercing and I have big balls in the middle of my face!
At A Glance Author ambersuicide Contact ambersuicide@bme.anon When A year ago Artist dont remember Studio dont remember Location Savannah Ga I would go into the shop and then walk out after a minutes wait saying, tommorow. I finally get to the point in which I was like ok I have to get this piercing. So I walk in the shop(name forgotten cause I was just visiting town) tell them what I want and they are a bit suprised. I sit and wait impatiently watching people go in one by one to get pierced. Everyone ahead of me seems to be getting their tongue pierced.
As I am sitting there waiting I pinch and pull my bridge hoping to know what to expect.lol
They call me up and im so nervous I have sweaty palms. I sit on the piercing bench as he tells me what procedures he will be doing. I really wish I knew the name of the place because he was really good, and patient with me. He rubbed the bridge area for about 10 minutes as he talked me down from nervousness. I was ready to go! He says, alright lets do it. So he gets the clamps and needle and everything else ready and there it is im ready to go. Before I know it the skins clamped and he tells me to take a deep breathe. As I gasp in to hold my breathe the needle slides right through. Being that it was in the middle of my face I wanted to watch this but, the needle looked to close to my eye so I didnt. It went through like butter. The pain was nowhere near what I thought it would be of course. As soon as he was done I was amazed at the time I wasted putting it off and wanted to show it off.haha.He says sit down here for a little bit in case of dizziness but, I was fine I wanted to run a marathon hehe(maybe lack of sleep)The piercing healed very fast, faster than any other piercing I have ever had. Ever since then I have had nothing but, compliments.
Every once in a while I seem to get a keloid around the area and am not sure what to do about it. I do not want to take it out since its my favorite piercing out of 19. I still to this day hardly ever see this piercing and im not sure why. I see it in magazines and such but, rarely on people I see walking the daily streets. My point is I love this piercing and to be honest it was the easiest one I have ever had. So, if you are thinking about it and scared like I was there is no point. Go get it im telling you that you will be more than happy with the results.
The aftercare for this particular piercing was very simple. The only thing I did not like was the dead skin around it. I had to keep putting lotion on it. I was told by the piercer that it would look crooked for a few days or weeks and that scared me a little bit into thinking that it would always be a little off. After the swelling went down which didnt take more than a week. The skin was really dead and lotion was needed alot. Other than that it is fine I try not to get makeup and gunk around it since I have been having reoccuring keloids or some other form of a bump on it.I usually pop it as disgusting as it sounds but, if I dont it seems to get bigger and more dark red. When I pop it , it has pussy lookin white stuff come out but, it goes down the next day. I am not sure what it is or why it does it. My new piercer recommends I may take it out. I plan to study further into this and find out if there is anything that I can do to avoid this reaccuring bnast bump or have it removed.
I like to see people with the bridge piercing for some reason. I have noticed with the woman I see that have it, it seems to flatter them. It brings out their eyes. I see people with it horizontal and vertical. I have heard that this particular piercing has the tendancy to thin out and reject. So far so good with me and I have had mine over a year.
