Ok, so I originally went to Body FX with my friend because she wanted to get a third cartilage piercing and I was going to get my ear pierced, but they wouldn't pierce me because I have Epilepsy. So, they told me to talk to my doctor and if my doctor said it was ok for me to get pierced, they would pierce me. I talked to my doctor and she said I would be ok to get pierced.

The whole way there, my mom is saying "Mike, it's going to hurt SO much!" probably hoping ill change my mind. All I keep thinking is that my friend said getting pierced feels like a bee-sting. Oh, by the way, this is my first piercing, so I don't know what to expect as far as pain is concerned. So anywho, I get to Body FX and my mom waits in the car and I go in and as i'm filling out the paperwork, Melissa goes and sets everything up. As soon as I finish the paperwork, she takes me back into the "piercing room." It is SUPER clean. I had been in there when Melissa pierced my friend and I was VERY pleased with the procedures she took when she pierced my friend. So, I sit down in this office looking chair. I looked like I was in the doctor's office. The room was painted white and VERY bright. There were nothing to distract Melissa at all and every time she spoke to me, she looked directl y at my eyes and wasn't doing something else while she was talking. So, she cleaned my eyebrow off and marked it and when handed me a mirror and asked if that was an ok location for me. I told her it was fine and she proceeded. She clamped my eyebrow with these clamps that had triangular tips on them so she could put the needle through the center of the clamp. The clamp didn't hurt at all and I was told the clamp hurts more than the piercing. So, at this point im pretty confident that this is going to be a piece of cake. Melissa told me to take a breath in and she pierced me. It didn't hurt at all! It made my eyes water, but that's all. Melissa put the ring in and made sure everything was all good and then told me in detail how to take care of my piercing as well as giving me a business card with directions on how to take care of it and the number for Body FX so I can call them if I have any questions.
I got my eyebrow pierced 2 days ago and I can't even feel it. When people ask me about it, it takes me a minute sometimes to realize what they're talking about because I don't even remember it's there. I can't sleep all the way on my left side, but i've figure out a way where I can sleep kind of my left side and still be comfortable. All I have to say is that it was a VERY pleasant experience and I can't wait to go back and get pierced there many many many more times.
Anyone who lives around Elkridge, Maryland, I recommend Body FX. I have never been to any other piercing/tattoo places but if someone asked me where to go get pierced, I would say Body FX hands down. It's about a 25minute drive from my house, but the service, clean and bright studio, the waiting room has nice big comfy couches and chairs and you can look at pictures of work they've done and listen to music and just everything about Body FX...it's all worth the drive 110%!! I am SO happy with my piercing. Everyone in my band said they like it and asked me where I got it pierced and I told them about my experience and they were all really happy to hear about it.
My only regret about the piercing is I like to sleep on my left side sometimes and I really can't right now, but like I said before I've found a way around that. If anyone goes to Body FX to get pierced, ask for Melissa. If she isn't open to do anything at that moment, make an appointment and come back. Trust me. It'll be worth it. Plus, she is REALLY sweet and SO cool and she'll take care of you! Haha.
Anyway, i've already got $25 towards my next piercing and I'm not sure what that's going to be, but I can tell you this...i'm going back to Body FX and i'm going to have Melissa pierce it. And i'm serious about going there. If you want to get something pierced and live in or around Elkridge, GO THERE!! I don't know what else to say to get people to go there beside you just have to trust what I say. The service is SO excellent. GO THERE!!!!
