Well it was my birthday, around four or five years ago, and I decided to celebrate it my getting pierced up. I've had other piercings prior to the ones I got this day, but unfortunately the two eyebrow rings I had before either somehow magically fell out, or I was forced to remove them. Well this time I decided I didn't just want another piercing. I kind of wanted to put some mild significance to it. My "lucky" number was three, and being infatuated with eyebrow rings as I was at the time, I decided to get three eyebrow rings. I of course awaited the whole day to pass by until the time came where I could actually go get pierced up. Eventually the time came and I made my way to Crossroads, located in hesperia / victorville, California. This is the same area where I got my two previous piercings and of course was very pleased with their service and experience. The business was very clean and everything kept clear. I met with the piercer and discussed with him what I wanted, an d then we proceeded over to the chair. Oh yes, the chair.

Of course the chair brings up several different emotions, which certainly cannot be explained. A slight bit of nervousness, excitement, pleasure and happiness all rolled into one. The piercer (unfortunately I have forgotten his name by now, it has been some time). was looking very worried, and kept pacing back and forth talking to his girlfriend, and back to prep me, etc. Later on he actually informed me that it was his "first" professional piercing. Now I am not certain as to what level of experience one must have to become a piercer, but obviously you have had to have pierced others as an apprentice. He asked me again what I wanted, and I told him I wanted my right eyebrow pierced, three times in a row. "lucky number three," yes how clever I am.
So he prepares me for the piercings, and gives me the proper markings, I examine them in the mirror and they look good. Straight, not lopsided, not too far apart, not too closer, just right. I take a seat back in the chair, and the piercing begins. The first one went through pretty clean, I was used to the pain from previous experiences, which is very minimal. I have had some people tell me that eyebrow piercings are the most painful, however I felt little to no pain at all, but I am a sadistic little bastard, so maybe I just naturally assumed it was good. The second one went through clean as well, he stopped and brought over a mirror to assure me that they looked good and that I was happy with them. The third one went through with a little trouble, I bled a little and he had some problems getting the bead on at first, but it was still pretty simple. His girlfriend watched the whole time and kept commenting on how she could not believe I was getting all three done at the sam e time. And mentioned one day when she got her naval done twice I believe, how she about passed out. They took some pictures, that I have yet to see since then. I've been back there for a labret piercing, but never looked around to see if they had my photographs. Well, they took the pictures, and I got up to see my new rings. At a first glance they looked pretty clean. All pretty straight and no problems with them at all. I decided to have black chrome beads for them all, and I took off, pleased with my newly acquired piercings.
Well, it wasn't until I got home, upon further inspection I realized that the ring furthest from my eye was lopsided. It was a little bit further off than the other two and it was partially crooked. But I lived with it for a few years, almost five actually. I only recently took that crooked one off just a few weeks ago. I could not stand it at all. It just annoyed me so much KNOWING it was crooked and a bit lopsided. But it was worth it while it lasted.
Overall, Crossroads which is located in Hesperia is a very clean little place. They have recently moved into a new location, which is just down the road from where they were previously located. Piercing prices here have dropped dramatically lately. I remember paying thirty-five bucks for my very first piercing. Now they are down to around ten or fifteen bucks. and yes, that is with jewelry. I would recommend this place to anyone within the area who is looking to get pierced. I have not had an opportunity to check out the most recent place up here, Tom Caldwell's Body Piercing and Tattoo's, but I have also heard that is a respectable shop as well.
