Ever since I was about say..6 years old..I had a deep interest in all those people with bright hair and shiny things in thier faces. Well yea I grew up and became one of them. My first "piercings" were when I was about 7 and i got my ears pierced yea big deal. But hey I was 7.

I had been whining at my mom to let me get my eyebrow pierced starting at about 12, so when I turned 15 and she said yes I was soo excited. Well considering that I was only 15 I had to lie and of course my mom went along with it.

They day I got my piercing started off really horrible..you know teen drama. Well anyways I knew about Diversity because I had gone down there a couple of times..I had met the piercer once before while my mom was getting her tatt done, so I knew he was a totally nice guy. So I called Diversity and asked what time I could come in and Ed told me anytime before 7. So me and my mom go home and get my ID and money and everything and head downtown to Diversity. We walked in and I already knew what area to look in for the jewlery so i picked a nice curved barbell with a crimson stone in each end. I was reeealy nervous and kept asking annoying questions like "how much does it hurt?" "are you sure it wont hurt?" I'm surprised Ed didnt throw me out. But anyways so my moms standing there watching while he takes out all the packaging and puts on his gloves...then he cleaned my eyebrow and took the stuff out of the packaging. He then marked my eyebrow and had me check in the mirror..it wa s perfect of course. So I sat back down and he told me to put my head back and close my eyes. I did and I felt him put the clamps on (they so don't hurt people I dont get the big deal) Anyways he got it the way he wanted and put the needle to my skin and said here we go and all the sudden it was done. I was sooo amazed that it didnt hurt at all! Its the weirdest sensation to like feel the metal go all the way through your skin, you can hear it to. Well anyway he then threaded the barbell in and put the top on and cleaned it. He gave me a sheet with aftercare and made sure I understood it all. And I did my salt water soaks every 3 hours for the first couple of weeks then I did it everytime I ate..its a good way to remember. I did have a couple problems with infection but that was very easy to clear up.

Its been 6 months and sad to say after about 4 I had to go back down to Diversity to have it taken out because it had migrated severly. Which could have been from my problem with infection or could have led to my infection. So while I was down there I told him to go ahead and pierce the other side but with a ring instead..yes people I know I dont learn. So he pierced it and i had that one for about 3 months and had to have it taken out too. Mind you not all eyebrows migrate so dont let it discourage you its a great piercing..especially for the first time. But if you notice ur skin starting to get a little see through or you can see your barbell or ring through it and it hurts really bad..dont play with it! Its best to go to your piercer to have it removed because they have the tools to do it without accidently ripping it or aggitating it more. And they will clean it with special anti-bacterial stuff. But dont just think it will go away if you don't take it out it will grow ou t on its own and you will have a nasty scar and no hair will ever grow there.

I have since gone back to Ed for 4 piercings..Toung, Labret, and of course the two eyebrows. He is a wonderful piercer, and a totally awesum guy so if your in the area..check him out. They also have awesum tattoo artists...my moms gotten a few. And Ed totally knows what hes doing and is very professional, if I ever had any questions he was more than happy to help. So if you dont feel comfortable with your piercer..trust your gut feeling because it is a big deal, especially in your face. Piercings can leave nasty scars and cause alot of problems and nerve damage if the person doesnt know what they are doing. So find someone you trust and have fun!!!
