Ever since I was 16 I've wanted my eyebrow pierced. Some of my friends and people I knew had their eyebrow pierced and I loved how it looked. So I asked my mom if she would let me get it done at 16. Of course she said no way in hell am I gonna let you look like that! So I told her if I could when I was 18 and she said, well it's your body if you want to look like a fool then fine. I was bummed but what can you do when your under age:(

Well, my 18th b-day was roll'in around and I brought up the subject again and it was the same answer (not until your 18) So I suggested a little earlier cuz I had a outdoor trip planned a few days after my b-day so I didn't want it getting infected. But she persisant.

So as soon as I got back from my trip I gathered up my best friend and my sister and I headed off to the the place I planned on going. I was so nervous that whole day I thought I was going to puke. I knew I had to eat food cuz I read on here that you needed to eat so you wouldn't pass out. Finaly we were on our way and I went in to the place. It looked a bit small and dark and there were all sorts of people hanging out there and that made me a little nervous. I went in and told the guy I wanted my eyebrow pierced and he said the piercer had gone home sick, he told me they had another store about 30 min. away. My friend was on a tight schedual so I needed to go now. She went and got directions to the place and we were off again.

I walked in to the place and it was much bigger and brighter and it made me feel a lot better for going there instead. I filled out all the paperwork and he brought me into the room after cleaning up before hand. I was sure that my sister would be able to come in, but he said the room was to small and no one could come in. Oh well, an adventure by myself, right? He showed me that everything was sealed and clean and then he cleaned my eyebrow. I was so incredibly nervous and such a woose about pain I thought for sure I'd pass out. He marked the spot and then let me check it in the mirror, but like I knew what the hell it was suppose to look like. I agreed but then he re-did it cuz he didn't like it. He had me lay down on this doctor type table and I couldn't really tell what was going on from there. I saw the clamp and the needle. I really didn't feel anything... He told me to take a deep breath, then I just felt a burning sensation, not pain really, just a tug and the ring was in. He asked me to sit up if I wanted and I took a look in the mirror. It was beautiful!! I loved it! He went over the cleaning and care and I went outside to show my friend and sister. I told them it was nothing, and It's the truth. When I went home I showed my mom cuz she new I was getting it done, but she didn't say much. She said she never told my dad and neither did I. That made me so nervous. When he came home from work I thought I'd just let him figure it out. I tried to act natural, but he never said anything! Then when we all sat down for dinner he just all of a sudden asked, "So did it hurt, how did they do it?" I was so suprised and so relived he wasn't mad at me.

That night I went over to my friends house and got drunk. That helped a little, but sleeping on it the first night was difficult. I usually sleep on my side or stomach and now I had to sleep on my back. But other than sleeping I loved my eyebrow ring and everyone was suprised that I even went through it!

Now for the sad ending :( about six months later it was about all healed up and I was even planning on getting a barbell to replace my ring... But I was playing around with my friends and one of my guy friends hit me right in the eyebrow (ring) with a kids race track and it started bleeding like crazy and then thats how it ended up starting to reject. I'm sad still, but I'm planning on either re-piercing my eyebrow or getting my nose pierced. If anyone has gotten both a nose and an eyebrow piercing, let me know the difference in pain.
