"An eyebrow piercing would look nice on you." Were the words that came out of my mother's mouth 4 weeks ago. Which shocked the pure hell out of me in the first place. My Mother recommending that I...her beloved daughter that she has such a problem with poking holes through her body. Of course I hopped at the chance of having a hard hallow needle probing it's self through my skin, and immediately started calling around to some piercing shops for prices and such. The first two I called wanted $55..Or $65 for a barbell. There would have been no way I would ever pay such a cost for someone to poke a hole threw my skin, and give me directions on how to clean it. No matter how bad I wanted the piercing.

The third shop I called was Jim's Tattoo's. Asked him the price of a standard run of the line eyebrow piercing, and was told $30 bucks. That was good enough for me. So
I asked when would a good time to come. Anytime before 10 o'clock I was told. So I stated I'd be there in about 2-3 hours. Got directions to his shop...since I was very familiar with the area in which it was located. Bursting with excitement I could barely stay still. Running upstairs to get my whole decor together, and put my face on. Took a shower...Did my make-up...and put my favorite fuzzy pants on. After I got done... My dear Mother wasn't ready to go at the time I was; as always. So I had an hour or so to kill. Figured if she was going to make me wait...That I'd just waste her gas, and run up to Main Drive-Thru...Get myself a Green Tea, and flirt with the guys working there. Which I did...Killed over an hour or so. Then headed back to pick my Mommy dearest up, and head to get poked.

After picking my Mom up. I began to get more excited that I had been earlier. Which I guess is only natural if you're a sucker to this type of thing, and then even if you're not. Got to the area where Jim had told me to start looking for the street that the shop was on, and began the quest. After a good 15 minutes of going up, then down, then up again...I finally found the damn place.

Bracing myself to get out of the car at this point. Since the drive didn't go exactly go how I wanted it to. I put a leg out...Than the other. And started walking towards the door. Gripping my purse that was hanging from my shoulder for dear life. I walked in, and stated that I was the person that had called earlier about an eyebrow piercing. He remembered, and began to take me to the back of the building where the piercing room was.

Jim was extremely nice right from the beginning on the telephone. Introduced himself. Started some small talk with my Mother, and I about how our day had been.
Then started preparing for my piercing...Or probing of flesh should I say. He got the two choices of CBR's that he had to choose from, and asked me to pick which one I would like. Out of the two...One was a pretty small hoop, and the other was rather large. He stated the fact that most people chose the large CBR for it was the easiest to clean, and take care of. Of course myself thinking the bigger one would look rather unattractive ... I picked the smaller one. With my choice...He got the alcohol swabs out, put his gloves on. Gave me some Foerster Clamps
Foerster Clamps to hold on my eyebrow for a little while to numb it a little. He than began to stick the needle threw the bottom of the clamps...and within seconds it was done. He put the hoop in, and when he tried to put the ball back on the CBR it should have told me something. He could barely get it on, but finally succeeded after 4-5 minutes. He gave me the directions on how to clean it...I paid him, and it all was done.
Or so I thought...

The first 3 weeks were a breeze. No redness or anything. Except my ball had fell off the CBR, and I couldn't get it back on. On about Tuesday of the 3'Ed week...I had a doctor's appointment. When getting my exam of the whole ears, nose, and mouth thing he glanced at my freshly new piercing telling me it was rather red. Of course I passed it off as I just had gotten it done a short time ago, and it was fine. Well, Surprise...Surprise. My redness turned into pus...Pus turned into gunk...and gunk turned into infection/rejection.

Extremely unhappy with this I just cleaned it ever time I saw any sort of gross shit coming out, hoping it would get better. Well, no luck. I ended up having to take it out to let it heal up...and later re-pierce it. Knowing it takes about 4-5 weeks or so for it to heal. I got rather un-patient with not having my eyebrow to be all proud of...I decided I'd do the thing myself. Searching for a needle, which I couldn't find...I started my mission.
Never finding a needle I came across a safety pin. Thought what the hell. Burned the top with a lighter...Cleaned my face getting the make-up off. Then clean my eyebrow with alcohol , and began to try to redo my old piercing. First the pin wouldn't go in very well, so I had to give a little force. When it entered the skin, now there was the task of trying to get it to come out the end where I wanted it. So placing the lump that was underneath my skin to the hole where it was suppose to poke threw I pushed with all might, closing my eyes , stiffing my body...Thinking it might help if the pain got to bad. Turns out the it poked threw without any trouble. But, wasn't exactly a 14g fit.

Beginning to put the hoop in I had to push it to make it go in the smaller hole, then had to hold my skin and push it threw the top hole. So far I haven't had any trouble with this one. My way of piercing it might of have not been the greatest choice. But, If I have a nice, happy piercing...I don't regret it.
