I had my tongue pierced by a mobile piercer about two months ago and when I was initially unsatisfied with the location; he gladly re-pierced it for free. So, anyway, needless to say, I generally trusted this guy.
At A Glance Author Mark Nargi Contact creepingxdeath@aol.com Artist Kirk (A Mobile Piercer) Studio My House Location Lancaster, California I decided to get my eyebrow repierced one day (I had it about 2 years ago but my eye puffed up and got an infection, so I had to remove it), so I was talking to a good friend of mine named Tawnny who told me she wanted to get her nipples pierced, but was underage and didn't have a lot of money to spend on it. I was friends (to an extent) with the piercer and he gave me good deals on piercings, so I called him up and he told me he would pierced my lip (which I had originally wanted to get done, but eventually decided on my eyebrow) and her nipples for $70, which I thought was a pretty damn good deal. So one day Tawnny came over and he hung out and watched some TV, and I made a few calls to Kirk to see if he could come over. By about 7PM he said he couldn't make it that day, which made me rather disappointed, but Tawnny said she could come over tomorrow to do it, so I was rather relieved (as sexist as it may sound, one of the reasons I was mad was because if we couldn't get pierced, I wouldn't get to see her get her nipples pierced... I suggest you watch it done one day, he he).
The next day came and I called Tawnny and she came back over, after about an hour and a half, Kirk showed up and we went into my room and I shut the door - I didn't want people walking in and out of the house while there were piercings going on. We had a little bit of small talk and Kirk told Tawnny to take off her shirt and bra so he could see what "he had to work with". So she did so and he examined her breasts and nipples and had her sit and stand a few times to see how they hanged. He had her sit down and he washed his hands, then put on gloves and had her pick out what rings (size, gauge, material, etc) she wanted. All his rings come in pre-sterilized packaging. She decided on 2 16g stainless steel CBRs and she sat down. She had been nervous, so we were holding hands the whole time, but he had her sit on her hands so she wouldn't squirm. He used Q-tips to put an antiseptic cleaner around her nipples (it looked like iodine), marked the entry and exit points, and he unwrapped the hoops. I'll admit, for the first nipple, I turned around and stared at the wall, LoL. It was 50/50 out of respect and I didn't want to see that process at first. I decided to watch the second nipple being pierced and watched as Tawnny shut her eyes, bit her lip and tipped her head back and he stuck the second needle through. He exchanged the shiny, steel hoops into the holes and clamped them on the balls with pliers (I forgot the name...). She looked down in joy and smiled... and I smiled at her too. I was proud of her for going through that experience. She walked around for a few minutes and sat down to watch me.
Kirk said "your turn now" and he took off his gloves and put on a fresh pair and I sat down and looked through a group of bars to get pierced with. I told him I had a hoop in it before and wanted a bar this time and he went straight for a 12g stainless steel ball and said "oh, this is what you want". I told him I didn't want to go bigger than a 10g, and even a 12 seemed somewhat large to me, but I have 14g in my tongue and both my ears already, so I figured it wouldn't be that bad, and I trusted him. So I handed him that bar and sat back, ready to be pierced. He had me stand up instead, and he cleaned off my eyebrow, and marked it with a pen, and unwrapped the bar. I didn't look at the marks he made, but once again, I trusted his choice. I was going to close my eyes, but I decided to try and "see" the piercing in progress. So, I stood there and held my breath and he counted 1-2-3 and shoved the needle thru, which I didn't actual feel all that much - it just felt like pressure on my eyebrow. He stuck the bar in and screwed the ball and told me I was done. I went to go look in the mirror and Tawnny made me stop so she could see it first (and I took the chance to look at her piercings once again). I looked at the bar and smiled and had a laugh. I was quite happy with it. We all sat around for a few minutes and talked and had something to drink (not alcohol, I was only 17 :) ). Then Kirk went downstairs and put a bar in my mom's navel piercing (she had a hoop, but it was bothering - I never understood why she got that thing done.) After that, I looked through some more bars, seeing what I could maybe put in my tongue. Anyway, I walked Tawnny out to her car and we had a "side hug" and a kiss (don't want to hurt them nipples, after all), and that was that.
I've talked to her a few times since and they aren't bothering her at all and my eyebrow has swelled a small amount and it looks like I have a bruise around the area, but it doesn't hurt. I don't think I'll change the bar, but I want to make sure I can fit a hoop in it for later in case I want to - the piercing was done a little "deep". I.e. far in... So at first I was a little paranoid, but I like the way it looks and being in as far as it is should help if migrating may occur. So far, I have my eyebrow pierced (12g), my tongue (14g), both my ears (14g) and my cartilage in my left ear (20g.. it was done with a gun). I've decided to either do my eyebrow again, next to the other one (it was my right eyebrow, by the way - I don't think I mentioned that before), or my lip (with a hoop around it), not a ball like with a labret piercing.
So that was one of my many experiences with piercings, and since I did it with a good friend, it made it all that much better, and it brought Tawnny and myself closer together. P.S. - word spread fast that we did this together, so I've heard from a lot of people, haha. I'll submit pictures of all my piercings soon (I need to scan some and take new ones of the newer piercings), and I'll try to get some from Tawnny's as well.
