Well lets see.

Well, the way they looked anyways. But I've never had the money to get anything done. (my parents wont pay for SHIT!) So when I turned 18, and got a job that actually paid rather good money, I went out to get my first REAL piercing. (I had my ear done when I was 12 with a gun.. it was so bad that after 3 weeks or so, the back came right through the hole and bled everywhere... ohhh blood is pretty..jk) Amazingly, a few years later, I found that the hole didn't close, so I put the barbell back in. I havent had a problem since.
There are 2 major places in my city to go. Either Artistic Impressions, or Heads. I have heard many horror stories about Heads, like shoving barbells through tongues without needles, hit nerves, and rather dirty type looking people.. and after a little investigating, i found out a whole lot more... So rather than subjecting myself to a fat, sweaty piercer, in a urine soaked room.. I walked the extra 4 blocks to artistics.
I was amazed at how clean the place looked as soon as I walked in the door. I walked up to the counter and was pleased to see the piercer (Jeremy) wearing a Korn shirt (them being one of my 2 favorite bands.. the other being Tool) ... it doesn't take much to please me.. At this point I still wasn't sure what to get done. I was tempted to say "surprise me" But he looked like a rather creative person, so I wasn't so sure that would have been a good idea. So I looked at a few pictures he had handy, and finally decided on getting my left eyebrow pierced.
We walked into the back room, and he had me sit in the chair. I guess he saw that I was a little nervous. So he tried to relax me by explaining how painless it is. He explained everything he was doing, while he was doing it, that helped quite a bit. Then he said "Ok, are you ready?" I told him I was, and he said "good, cuz im done... told yah it was painless." .. that was easy.
After the piercing, he showed me the needle, took pliers, and bent it, to show that he wouldn't use it again.. Then threw it in a container that was to be sent out and destroyed. He then sat with me for 15 min. or so and explained how to take care of it.. products to use, and products to avoid using. And just basic do's and don't's of just about any piercing. Then he gave me a sheet with cleaning instructions, and the different products just to remind me later on.
I loved my eyebrow ring. All my friends loved my eyebrow ring.. My cat loved my eyebrow ring.. parents hated it.. but hey... they have no say in the matter. My manager decided that he hated it also. So he put me on midnights.. But its all good. I like it better =) It was rather easy to take care of. I had a few minor problems, but that was to be expected considering this was my first one, and I wasn't exactly sure just what I could and couldn't do with it. But all in all, the healing went well.
Unfortunately, 6 months later, I got nailed in the head with a pretty damn heavy box. It hit me RIGHT square in the left eyebrow. My piercing bled... and bled... and pussed... and bled some more. Ever since then, It would puff up, and puss on and off. That lasted for a few months. no matter what I did, i couldn't fix it. So I had to take it out =(
A week later however, I went back and got the other side done. And a week after that, I got another one next to it. So far, I love it. This time, im a lot more careful at work =)
Aside from my eyebrow rings, I also have my ear again, my labret, and my tongue, for a total of 5. I haven't had any problems with any of them. but i need more =)
Today my friend Brad and I are going to Artistics yet again with Sandra.. she has about 5 billion of her own, and wants yet another. I didn't know she had anything left to pierce.. I guess its going to be a surprise. I might get another today, but im not quite sure. I have so many different body parts to shove a hunk of metel though. Its to hard to decide.
