I'd been thinking about getting my eyebrow pierced for a long time and later after seeing a picture of someone with two, decided to get two. My parents were pretty reluctant but I convinced them that it could be taken out later, and besides it was my body and my brow and I wanted it pierced. I called the tattoo parlor, found out prices and was ready to go. Then I became stupid and had an experience with too much to drink, an ambulence bill, lost glasses and a concussion. Lovely. After paying for all those nice little unexpected expences I had no money. Two months later and nice Christmas cards containing checks I was all set again.

Studio Arts Under Skin Location Kentville, Nova Scotia, Canada Both my parents drove me and two friends up to the tattoo parlor. My dad came in and signed the paper saying I couldn't sue and left with Mom. The place itself was really neat. It was small and had a couch in it along with a boa consrictor and an iguana wearing a necklace in glass cages against one wall. They had a pretty good selection of rings/hoops and barbells. It also had a sign that said " Good work is not cheap work, Cheap work is not good work, So don't complain about the fucking prices" Well I paid $100 for two ring. $50 bucks a pop. I picked out two small black hoops and went with the guy into the back.
By that time I was really nervouse but I told myself I could do it. Aparently my friends waiting outside were freaking out worse than me, and also discussing about how if it looked bad, that they would tell me it looked good anyway. Gee, Thanks Guys. Your support means soooo much to me. The buddy that was doing it, besides being hot was really nice and totaly calmed me down. I lay down and He put some cold crap on my eyebrow. Then one of his gloves ripped. He put another one on and then that one ripped, so he replaced that one and the clamp ripped that one. Great, like I needed all this time to chicken out! Finally after he got the glove situation straightened out he clamped my eyebrow, told me to take a deep breath and shoved the needle through. My reaction, "Holy Shit, Holy Fuckin Shit", not cause it hurt exacly but more the feeling of something shoving through one side of a hunk of your skin and then feeling it come out the other was a little knew to me. I gotta say Ricky Martain's "She Bangs" will never have the same meaning to me again. ( thats what was playing on the radio at the time ) he asked me if I was ok. I was. The clamp pinches your eyebrow really hard. That'll hurt for a secound and then it'll basically be a numb. He talked to me the whole time and I asked him questions. Apparently it hurts a guy worse to get his nipples done than a girls! Who knew?! It's cause they have more tissue or something. I gotta say, I would have thought ours would have been a little more sensitive, but you learn something knew every day. By the time he had the hoop through I was grinning. He asked me if I was ready for the other one. Oh Yeah! He did it. I felt great. When I opened my eyes he was looking done at me. Are you done? Yep he said. I bolted out of the chair to to check my face while he asked if I felt dizzy of naususe. Nope. Very Cool! Trust me, if I could put up with any pain that came with this experience you can to. So if your thinking about getting your eyebrow or anywhere else for that matter, pierced, DO IT. You only live once! I want to go back for a tattoo now!
To clean it I wash the piercing tice a day with clean hands. In the morning with an antibacterial soap, and at night with a salt water solution. You have to clean the scabs off the ring before turning or else the scab will get brought inside your hole when you turn the ring and you'll probley get an infection. Don't touch it unless you have to and when you do, wash your hands. And my sister, who got her belly button done awhile ago, told me to buy some poly-sporin loation to put on it too. This procedure should to be done for at least six weeks after you get your piercing done. Also I heard that taking Vitamin C tablets will help speed the healing process up. Mines still really tender cause I only just got this done yesterday so I don't know how it will heal but I'm hopping for the best. Good luck to anyone who decides to pierce!
