A little background info on me, Well im a 19 year old who has loved body modification for years..Up to date I have eyebrow,labret,2 in tongue and 2 in each ear,3 tattoos and have plans for many more ... I had a medusa but took it out.

I went back to body art ( where i had my labret pierced,and it was a good experience) and told melissa what i wanted.. She was fixing to do some lobe streching on a girl that was there before me so i waited for about 30 minutes,then this girl comes in and she cant get her navel ring back in so melissa works on her...
Finally after 45 minutes of waiting,it is my turn. She cleans the room and calls me in.. She cleans my eyebrow (I don't remember what she used) then marks it (and didnt ask if i liked where the marks were)... She tells me to close my right eye and said she would count to 3 then stick the needle through.. She counts then pushes the needle through,grabs the ring and goes to put it through then I hear 'uh oh',not something I want to hear when getting pierced by someone... She said 'wow you heal fast,you closed up before I could get the ring in' which i knew wasn't the truth... She takes a taper and pushes it through my eyebrow a couple of times,but the ring would still not go through, so she said she would just have to pierce it again... By this time im really feeling the pain (which wasnt there the first time she stuck the needle through) and I just wanted her to get it right.. So she gets another needle and pushed it through and finally gets the jewerly in... I get up go out into the waiting area and they start shutting off the lights and pushing us out the door,with no aftercare information or anything, it was closing time, and it was her birthday and she wanted to get out quickly..
So i get home and clean my eyebrow.. My eyebrow was swelled 3 times it size and i could feel the ring through my skin when i went to touch it *with clean hands* .. I would wake up and my right eye would be black and swelled shut, and there would be dry blood around the holes of the piercing.. I would call the shop and they said just to clean it more often (even though i was cleaning it about 3-4 times a day).. It was still swelled,and red.. So I go visit Amy at tiggers in dallas, She takes me into the room and she starts looking at it and tells me it HAS to come out and I didnt disagree.. She takes it out and its full of blood and pus... She spends about 20 minutes trying to get as much as she can out... Then I leave, with the ring in my hand, sad that it had to be taken out but I knew it had to come out... So to cheer me up I go get #2 in my tongue.. About a week later im wanting my eyebrow piercing back, I go in the bathroom and look at my eyebrow and can see where the holes were.. I picked up the ring which was used for the piercing and worked it through the holes, took about 10 minutes and was painless.. I went further back than what melissa did.. And after that it caused me no problems what so ever.. 7 months later and its still there and looks great... The experience wasnt great at all and vowed never to use Melissa again.... I hear nothing but good things about Obscurities in Dallas and have many friends who only use them so I plan on using them from now on... I love switching jewelry every now ands then from a CBR to a curved barbell
If you want to get your eyebrow pierced, I say go for it.. Be sure you know what kind of shop your going to and can keep up with the cleaning and babying of the piercing.. I dont know what went wrong with mine, I did everything right but nothing seemed to work until I did it myself (hehe).. I plan on getting maybe 1 or 2 more for my eyebrow,hopefully I will have better luck.
A friend and I are wanting to appretince so we can start piercing, just waiting to find the right shop (and more time on our part)....
