I always thought body piercings looked nice on lots of friends of mine, but Im not 18 yet and i never cared enough to actually try to get something done.

I think it was like a month ago, i was on the phone w/ my best friend/boyfriend and he was like "you should pierce your eyebrow" and unrealistically replied "Okay" ...he took me seriously which kinda subconsciously convinced me to take it seriously in an odd way. If that last sentence doesn't make sense, I don't blame you. So in under 5 minutes I was off the phone digging through the sewing box gettin a needle.
I am a very sensible thoughtful preson most cases, but I didn't put much thought into it, i just did it (to prepare those whose gonna freak out about sterilization). I guess I don't really take germs too seriously... but uh yep I pierced my eyebrow with a needle that had no defense to its cleanliness but the fact it was straight out of a package.
It bled a little, but it didn't hurt, It made me really wonder about stories of people blacking out getting piercings...Once I had the needle in I found a little hoop earring and put that through which was a little chore but not bad. I had recently gotten my ears double pierced, and i put that ear cleaning solution shit on it a lot.
A few minutes later, I got in the shower and when i got out i wiped my face with the towel and of course i forgot about the piercing and yanked the hoop out...I didnt hurt the hole, the ring just came undone. Sooo....I had to almost repierce it with the earring which naturally hurt a little more than the first time around, but still, not really that bad, looking back on it. I again put ear stuff on it.
That night I went back up to work for a meeting, (I work at a dog &cats,etc. 'hotel'and grooming place) and everyone was like "What the fuck we just saw you 3 hours ago!" And this one girl I work with, I quickly found that she was a piercing and tattoos EXPERT and has crazy amts experience and once she finished telling me i was an idiot for doing it myself she told me cleaning it with Bactine would be better than ear cleaning solution. So after a couple days on my grocrey store trip i got some bactine and used that.
As for how it healed or how its coming, My eyebrow was weird in that it had its good days and bad days....some days I'd go into work and my boss'd be like "It looks infected." then the next day he'd say "Wow, it's really lookin better." and the two responses would repeat for the next couple/few weeks. the first two weeks maybe, puss came out of it pretty regularly, and that went away and it was a little bit crusty/scabby off and on, not as bad as htose decriptions naturally sound tho. It looked pretty good.
Now its healed pretty well, I think i did a pretty decent job, considering i went about it pretty irresponsibly. It looks nice, and my guy who told me to do it likes it. the slightest complaint i can have is that between where the ring goes in and out, the hairs don't grow as well, but its not very noticeable...it might look a little bad for a while if/whenever i take it out, but im not worried about that now. MORAL OF THE STORY IS, I AM LUCKY.. I HAD A SUCCESSFUL SELF-PIERCING! =)
Next is my belly button or my nose maybe, but ill put thought into those, i guess ill wait til i turn 18 and invest in a pro. Thanks for reading!
(Apparently my experience isn't long enough for the settings, so i guess ill talk my experiences with piercings (this should be funny). um...i first got my ears pierced when i was ten and i let them grow in after a while, i dont remember why...i guess i was too lazy to deal with them. At like 12 or 13 i pierced htem again when i went into my preteen rebel shock-mom phase, but took those out cos the were a pain in the ass i guess...i tried to pierce my belly button myself too but i didnt have very good pain tolerence then so it hurt too much. Um...once my best friend at the time tried to pierce her lebrae (sp?) on her own (w/ help of friends and liquor) but she couldnt get jewelry thru the hole shed made so it was a failure. I learned the most about pierces/tats from the boyfriend i had, a crazy crazy punker guy who at 16 had sleeves of tattoos, had a 1-guage ear, bars thru the middle of the rest of his ears, had both eyebrows, bridge, lips on each side top and bottom, lebrae, tongue, septum, nipples, belly buttom, 3 on his cock...what a sweetie, and it looked pretty good, but he was nuts. hmm what else....oh yea my favorite artist, the greatest most talented man alive, mike patton, also had a pierced eyebrow in the early 90s which is cool i guess =) same side as mine too come to htink of it. ok lets see if this is enough words, if so, thanks for reading, and sorry for reading! -Bär of Atl, GA
