I'd been wanting my eyebrow pierced for about 3 years, and eventually when I turned 16 made a deal with my mum. The deal was that if i got at least 3 A's in my GCSE's I could have it done. But me being me, I just couldn't wait 5 or 6 months!!

I started to ask my mum, leave pieces of paper around with experiences and pictures on, and generally hinting.

I then found out my cousins friend, Lisa, was comming to stay with us for a few days. She works in a piercing studio in Leeds, England.

It was then that I realised I could get my eyebrow done then! I talked to Lisa, and she agreed to bring the equipment needed, and I told her everything would be ok.

I told my mum that Lisa was going to do it. She was dead against the idea, but Lisa talked to her, and she finally came round!!

Skip to the night of the piercing. (Sometime around the end of April)

Lisa arrived, and I sat down, fidgeting, waiting for her to begin.

I was pretty nervous, and kept asking Lisa if it hurt, and how it felt. She just kept telling me it didn't hurt at all, and I didn't believe her!

She told me to go sit down, so I want into the spare bedroom, and sat on the bed. She came into the room, and marked my left eyebrow with a pen. I checked the mark, and I thought it looked cool.

I then closed my eyes, so I didn't exactly see what went on.

I felt her clean the area, and before I closed my eyes, I saw the needle, it was between 2 and 5 inches long, and just waiting to get stuck in!!!!

I felt her clamp my eyebrow, and then she just stuck the needle right through, from top to bottom!!

I felt the needle go through, it's hard to descrie what it felt like. Kinda like the skin ripping, I could feel that, but it didn't feel uncomfortable or anything!!

It felt really good, there was no pain or no blood! She then put the ring though, we had decided on a 1.2mm (16ga) surgical steel BCR.

I ran upstairs after she had done it, and showed my mum, and she actually thought it was good!!

She did it all for free, which was pretty cool of her!

It was a little sore for a few days, but I cleaned it in salt water, and the pain went, and I could sleep on it.

It was so cool, It looked great, and everyone liked it! I was the only person in my whole school who had it done!!

Where I work didn't mind it either, in fact, I don't think anyone minded it!

But when I told people that It didn't hurt, they didn't believe me!!

Now jump to the end of July. My eyebrow ring was beginning to grow out. The final straw came when i was brushing my hair, and I got it caught in the brush, It didn't come out, but it was damn sore!

I decided to have it taken out, and be re-pierced.

I phoned up Ozone piercing centre, and made an appointment for July 9th 1999.

I went on the day, and I chose a purple Titanium BCR. It was 1.6mm (14ga).

The guy took me into this room, and closed a cutain behind him. It was all really clean, and all the staff are really friendly.

So, first of all, he took my old piercing out for me, and gave me the ring.

My poor little eyebrow, all lonely again with no ring!! It looked strange! (although I did insert the ring back in a few times when I went out, but now it's clsed up)

Then, he cleaned my right eyebrow, put a marking on, and when i agreed that was a good spot, I closed my eyes and he began.

This time, the piercing was done from bottom to top, and the needle was really long.

When the needle was through, he cut it down to a smaller size while he got the ring.

It didn't hurt at all. I got this so cool rush!! then he put the ring in, and I was all pierced!!

It cost me £27, which I think is a really reasonable price!!

I was going on holiday to Cyprus a few days later, and the salt from the sea there really helped to heal it!

It didn't ever get any crusties, and it's never been sore!

If anyone is thinking of getting their eyebrow piercied, i'd say Go For It!!

It didn't hurt me, and It looks really cool.

Everyone that I talk to always comments on it!

I've now got to get around my mum for my next piercing I want....I think she likes them a little better now!!

(I got an orbital on my lobe yesterday, and she think thats pretty cool!!)

Thanx for reading my experience:o)
