Hey. My name is Gen and I'm 14. I am extremely interested in all types of body mods. I already have a tattoo and my belly button pierced. However, the piercings that I REALLY want are my tongue and industrial. I asked my mom about them--And we agreed on my industrial, but after me giving it alot of thought and considering how she barely even agreed to it...I brought up getting my nose done instead.

So that was it...I was getting my nostril done. =)
My mom's the type of person who procrastinates on things like this and whenever I bring it up-she "doesn't wanna hear about it." I finally found a place that my former neighbor went to to get her eyebrow and navel done. It was at a piercers house in Aurora. (About 20-30 minutes from my house) Anyway, I called the guy and any piercing was only 40 bucks. So I saved some money up and called him to set up an appointment so my mother couldn't change her mind.
Driving there, my mom thought she was getting lost. I told her to keep going while she was freaking out. Finally, we arrived there and she got all these bad ideas in her head because his house wasn't the prettiest and the neighborhood wasn't too inviting. We walked to the back door and he came right out with a cigarette in his hand, plenty of bold and vivid tattoos, and quite a few piercings. He is what I would call a pure -Badass-. Haha. :)
We walked inside and he told me to sit down. My nerves were starting to kick in just a tid bit. When I called him, I told him I wanted my nose done, so he already knew. Mike asked me if I wanted a ring or a stud and I told him a stud. While setting up all his equipment and getting on a pair of gloves, he asked me what side I wanted to get pierced. I told him "right".
Of course he cleaned me up, and marked me. I told him a tid bit lower and a tid bit forward. He remarked it and I okayed it, then Mike stuck the clamp up my nose (which felt uncomfortable, but didn't hurt) and told me to take a deep breath in and exhale. I did. He told me to do it again and that's when he stuck the needle in my nose. IT DIDN'T HURT AT ALL! While the needle was hanging out of my nose, he went to go get the stud. Everyone tells me how it hurts like hell...but Nope, not for me. =] He got the stud and was trying to get it through which was the most uncomfortable part. Like-It didn't hurt while he was trying to get it in, but I wish he could have done it a little quicker. HOWEVER, Mike couldn't manage to get the stud in completely. He took it out. So I was sitting there....with a fresh hole in my nose with no ring or stud.
"I have to get a taper." was what Mike said.
He clamped me up again, and pierced me again. He didn't use a cork or a receiving tube, so he ended up poking my septum so I let out a little whimper. A few second later he says, "Why didn't you tell me I was poking you?"
"Why do you think I made that noise?"
Because that was the second time he pierced me, my nose started to bleed like mad crazy! FINALLY-Mike got the stud in and was wiping up my nose.
"All done! Go look in the mirror."
This entire time, my mom was watching from the doorway. She said I didn't close my eyes the entire time.
Damn. I was so cool. Haha. If he would've gotten the stud in the first time, I wouldn't have bled at all. Although, my eyes didn't even water...so that's a good thing! =] He told me how to clean it and whatnot. And it was sweet because I still had plenty of Dial left from my navel piercing. :]
I paid Mike and gave him a tip. My mom and I left and I was happy with it.
"Don't you love it, mom?"
"Yeah, it actually looks pretty cute on you."
I'm really happy with it. I haven't gotten one bad reaction from it, yet. (My dad IF/WHEN he find out will KILL me!!!) My nose is doing fine. I'm leaving to go to California for a month...So I have to take extra good care of it since I'll be swimming. I'm cleaning it three times a day with Dial. It should be healed in about 4-6 weeks.
Definitely go for it if you want this piercing! It hardly hurts, and it's easy to clean. No problems so far, for me. =] Questions? Hit me up. I'll respond right back. Peace!
