I was dying for another piercing; it had been months since I last got a needle through my skin. I wanted something no one else at my school had as my eyebrow plan went horrible bad and it became the new it thing for people to do (tear) so I started looking on BMEzine and multiple tongue piercings hit me, I absolutely loved the feeling of my first one in my mouth and thought it would be amazing to have more. I planned to get 2 more viper style added to my centre one.
At A Glance Author Philly Contact Philly@bme.anon When A week ago Artist Clint Studio Tattoo U Location Masterton I saved up the money I would need, $60 in total $30 for each; I rang and made the appointment at Tattoo U he said he would be free in about 2 hours. I ask if someone could take me and dad said he would when he got back from a job he had to do. As the time for my appointment drew closer I became anxious and was very worried that he wasn't going to be home in time and it's a two hour walk to the piercers.
Dad finally showed and we rushed down to the shop, when we got there Clint was finishing up some guys tattoo and said I would need to wait about fifteen minutes before he would be ready for me. I sat in the car with my boyfriend and dad and waited for the guy to come out of the shop when he finally emerged I practically ran to the door.
Once inside Clint directed me to the "dentist chair" and asked me to lift my tongue, he then explained to me that because my veins are so large that the piercing will have to go on an angle (going from the side through the tongue then coming out through the middle). I was a little upset but realized it wouldn't really matter anyway.
When I looked over at the needles, I always do they are such beautiful things the pain and the pleasure they bring is amazing but maybe it's just me, there was only one I thought that maybe he hadn't understood on the phone that I wanted two so I asked, he said that he'd rather do the one let it heal then do the other.
He made the marking on my tongue but when I looked in the mirror it wasn't where I wanted it so I told him I wanted it to form a triangle with my already existing one, he wiped the mark off and re-done it, it still wasn't where I wanted it but I just wanted the needle through so bad I said it was fine.
I took my centre bar out so he could do it with more ease, then the normal procedure happened; clamp, needle goes through, then bar goes through. The pain was a lot more intense than I expected, serious pain! He had a lot of trouble putting the ball on the bar but struggled because of all of what I thought was drool but was actually blood.
When he got it on I went over to the mirror and put my bar through the centre, I looked at it, I loved it and even though it wasn't in the right spot it made me think why get 3 when I can get 5. I told Clint and he said to come back in two weeks (4 days away, YAY! =D) to get the third one done.
I went to the shop and bought Listerine and ice cream. I was in a lot of pain by the time I got home and all I wanted to do was go to sleep but I was in way too much pain and just couldn't. I didn't eat much that day but the next day was easier but only managed a small amount of ice cream and apple crumble.
My speech was incredibly messed up for about 4 days and I sounded like a complete idiot (my boyfriend had a great time with that) but now its fine and the dribble was rather embarrassing but that went with the speech problem.
My tongue is fine now but because of the angle I can't change it to a shorter bar and I don't think I ever will be able to. I can't wait till this weekend when I can get my third one done. I love the fact that even though it's a real mainstream piercing I've spiced mine up a bit and made it dame sexy I must say.
I love the feeling of two pieces of metal in my mouth to play with and can't wait to get the final 3 added. Anyone who's thinking of getting it done go for it it's the best feeling in the world and looks cool as.
