So, last Monday after I finished work I decided that I was going to get my venoms pierced. I had been looking at pictures and reading stories on them for a while, so I decided to get it done on impulse. One of my good friends that I work with offered to come with she has three tongue piercings so I figured it would be a cool to have her come with. I wasn't nervous at all before the piercing because I have 18 other ones.

When I told him what I wanted done he informed me that he would only do one at a time, and that was fine with me. We went into the piercing room and he looked at my tongue a few times, decided where he was going to pierce me, and asked me to rinse. After I rinsed my mouth out he clamped my tongue. Everyone says this part hurts the most, but I would have to disagree. I didn't think it hurt at all, it was just really awkward because it makes you drool which makes you look oh so attractive. NOT. He opened a new, sterile needle and told me to start that oh so familiar breathing to relax your body. On the count of three he slid the needle through my tongue. I'm really good with pain, but it really f*cking hurt. It got stuck halfway through and seemed like it took forever for the jewelry to go in. Anyways soon enough the jewelry was in and my mouth was full of blood so he had me rinse again. I didn't think much of the bleeding because the piercer told me that it would stop in a little bit.
For the whole ride home my mouth kept filling with blood so I tried not to swallow for the whole ride home. The second I got out of the car I spit and deep dark blood poured out of my mouth. two seconds later I had to spit again. My friend said that hers didn't bleed like that so she made me stay at her house until she knew I was ok. Thank god she did because I wasn't ok. I bled nonstop for 6 hours and it was dark scary blood, like nothing I've ever experienced before. I began to feel light headed and became really pale. It was at that point that my friend told me she was gonna call the emergency room (it was 12:00am and the piercer had closed). She had suggested it earlier and I told her not to because I thought it would eventually stop. I mean, I put a hole in my tongue, of course it would bleed. When she called the ER said I should chew on ice until it stops and as long as there's no clotting I should be fine. If it didn't stop within the hour to come in. Ok, within the hour it slowed down but didn't stop, however, there was no way my ass was going to the ER. I hate the hospital and my mom would kill me. So since it slowed down I went home. I was awake for a while because I was a little freaked out at the thought of how much blood I had lost. But eventually I fell asleep.
I woke up in the morning to a huge blood clot in my mouth. So I tried to take the barbell out. Unfortunately I couldn't because it was screwed on too tight. So I figured I would give it a few days and I would take it out. Up to six days afterwards it became so swollen that the ball became embedded and caused me to bleed, again. It was pierced with a 3/4" so just imagine how swollen my tongue was. I went back to the studio, explained the situation, and told them that I wanted a longer barbell... and they told me it was normal. I knew it wasn't so when I was talking to the girl that does my hair and she suggested a close friend and piercer to talk to. I called the studio and she wasn't there so I left a message. Within an hour she called me back and offered to come in when she wasn't working to see me.
With one look of my tongue she noticed that he had nicked my vein and that it was placed incorrectly. She told me that if I was hell-bent on keeping it in she could give me a longer barbell, but she seriously encouraged me to take it out all together. So I listened to her and she took it out for me. Needless to say, she is my new piercer. I am done with my old one, especially after his refusal to change my barbell. I thought about getting my venoms done again but then I realized that it wouldn't be worth it.
