I started getting pierced when I was 13 and I was always looking for something new to get done, so 11 piercings later( some of which are right and left traguses, right and left snugs and rooks, nose and belly button) I was totally out of ideas. I had wanted to get my labret done but I thought that I would end up looking like my head was full of metal since I already have so much on my ears and my job didn't allow for a lot of obvious piercings. I had also wanted to get my nape done but I was a little afraid about rejection or catching it on something so I decided to check out the net and see what I could get for some different ideas. I found BME and looked through all the galleries daily until I decided on getting my venoms.

I wasn't sure that I would get it at first but that is what happens every time I consider getting a new piercing...if I think about it once it drives me crazy until I get it. I'm sure it's an obsession. I love the adrenaline I get from piercings and even though it hurts sometimes once I leave I want to go right back and do it again. I decided I was too broke to get anything pierced but I couldn't stop thinking about it so I figured I might as well just call and get some information on it since I had never even heard of venoms or seen them before until I had seen them on BME and I wasn't even sure that anyone around here could or did do them.

I called the good people down at Custom's and found out that they did do them, I got the price, and went down to see Brodie (who has done the majority of my piercings and knows his shit)so that he could take a look and feel around for the veins in my tongue. I really wanted to make sure that if I did get them done that they could be far enough apart that I felt they looked good, I had seen some pictures of peoples venoms that I felt were way too close together so I was hopeful that he would be able to do them far apart. He felt confident that the veins were far enough apart that he could do it the way I had wanted so I set my mind to it and decided to take my centered tongue ring out so that my mouth wouldn't be so cluttered.

I was pretty pumped about getting them done and I really liked that they would be a symmetrical piercing since that is what I had tried to do with my ears. I think matching piercings look the best, also I thought it would be a good thing to have because you don't see anyone around here that has them.

When I got them done Brodie told me that it was going to bleed a little but I didn't think it would as much as it did. Turns out that I bled a little more than the average person but there are a lot of factors that could have went into that I suppose, none of which was because of the piercer. It didn't really hurt anymore than a centered tongue ring but when my blood wasn't clotting right away I started to get a little worried. He got me to rinse my mouth out a few times and asked me how I was doing, made some jokes and made me smile which was awesome cause otherwise I might have spazed out.. I was thinking to myself that it wouldn't be a big deal if I couldn't stop bleeding out of another body part because at least I could go on with my day but its a little different when you don't want to open your mouth for fear of drooling blood on yourself haha.

Brodie is a really great piercer and I knew that he had done an awesome job so I stayed and talked (well mostly he talked because my mouth was bloody) about the piercing and other piercings for awhile until things were doing well enough that I felt assured enough to leave. He was really great and I'm sure he babied me a lot more than he had to, it kept me calm for sure.

I'm really glad I had someone who I could trust to do that for me because I'm sure if anyone else would have done it I might have been a little panicked.

It healed really quickly and I was able to eat Christmas dinner about two weeks or less later without any really discomfort.

Although it was a little freaky at first I see now that everything was fine and I would definitely do it again. Check out custom creations/tattoo Prince Edward Island, Canada...
